I have always like the story of Peter Pan, deliciously creepy and the character of Captain Hook has always fascinated me. Many years ago I had a doll made by Custom House based on Captain Hook/Jack Sparrow - he was gorgeous and a favourite but time moved on and he now lives with a dear friend. (no regrets).
Another friend linked me to this doll last week and I felt the stirrings again of owning a Captain Hook - he arrived a couple of days ago and reminds me so much of my previous doll. It's so good to have this character again - I am calling him Jas (short for James).
I will dress him in modern clothes as I did with the previous Hook and will look to my old photos for inspiration! <3<3<3

The Hook Lighthouse, Hook Head, co.Wexford, Ireland.
Hook Lighthouse is a unique example of an almost intact medieval lighthouse and it is thought to be one of the oldest operational lighthouses in the world. It dates from the early 13th century and was a major feat at the time of its construction.
Dollar Bay on the Hook Peninsula is supposedly named because it was a location for pirates hiding their treasure. Why not there certainly was enough pirates off Waterford Estuary at various times. Easily accessed from Waterford via the Passage Ballyhack ferry the Hook Peninsula is famous for its breath-taking vistas, magnificent natural landscapes, national heritage sites and the Hook Lighthouse.

I've bought an 18-200mm specifically for urbexing so I don't have to carry more than one lens and change them in less than ideal conditions but I'm getting more and more frustrated by the general softness, might be time to start carrying a nice fast 50mm prime again, it would have been perfect for this shot.
