deck almost done

It's all pretty darn cheap, price-wise, but if you look carefully you can find relatively quality stuff. It's definitely a lot more modern looking, which is a great buzzword when selling a place.

Since there wasn't enough room for a standard register, I built a box using galvanized aluminum and tin snips.

The new floor in contrast to the old bathroom floor which still needs to be ripped out to make way for the new tile.

You can walk through the unfinished, unheated attic to this little bedroom. The door that you see here leads to a cute little closet. the windows face the street in front of the house.

Staples out! Time to clean up.

Note new position of the window. I took the pic when it was night so you can't see, but having the window in this position lets in a ton of natural light, unlike the old vertical window.

Also note the bench at the right of tub, where the wall formerly was built out.

We still need to get a nice fabric shower curtain to go on the outside of the plasticky one.

The tile saw set up in the garage.

Closet door in the foyer. The left side of the frame had been 1/2" higher than the right. Fortunately the hinges are on the right - I disassembled the left side of the frame, trimmed the bottom, and reassembled, making the top level. The door is a little ajar so it's hard to tell how good the fit is, but it's GOOD.

This was supposed to show the fact that plaster is crap and falls apart to easily. Apparently the camera thought our printer and protein skimmer were far more important.

The wall is in pretty good shape still, which was a concern. From right to left is the blue painted wall (duh) then white drywall, then the anemic framing, then the door jam with some gray paint on top of darker wood.
