We purchased a 1400 + sq foot house in Boynton Beach on a quarter acre land with a fenced in backyard. Doggy door already installed. Now we begin the painting and decorating journey in our new home.

So today, the paint on the parts of the walls near the new sink is dried, so I quickly cut the baseboard and quarter-round to the right lengths (2" on the left side, and almost 2/3 of the original length on the right) and reattach them to the wall.

Then, I slide the sink / cupboard right against the wall, and using the provided screws secured the cupboard to the wall. (to help avoid any.. accidents)

project black wall. L had fun!

All finished and the shelves are built and in place. I only had to put in two stablizing screws in the back wall to keep it square. I was able to cram a whole dresser full of extra clothes in there, plus Kat's stuff.

HOME IMPROVEMENTS: UNDER $100

Tip: Spend an hour with a pro.

Invite a realtor or interior designer over to check out your home. Many realtors will do this as a courtesy, but you will probably have to pay a consultation fee to a designer. Check with several designers in your area; a standard hourly fee is normally less than $100, and in an hour they can give you lots of ideas for needed improvements. Even small suggested improvements, such as paint colors or furniture placement, can go a long way toward improving the look and feel of your home.

...just need to get the glass shelves

Our first big project is done!

This room is directly outside our bedroom. Of the tasks performed, we:

-Replaced light fixture with ceiling fan

-Replaced blinds

-Patched all holes and painted the walls "Kalamata"

-Replaced outlets and faceplates with white ones

-Installed recessed directional halogens and put them on a dimmer switch

-4"x3/4" baseboards

I'm remodeling my kitchen. This is a tile sample that I ordered. It was $9.27.

We're adding two horizontal stripes around the room. One in orange ("maple leaf") and a thinner one in brown. We'll probably accent that door to the yard with the same colors.

I took my extended handle for my paint roller and used packing tape to attach a little brush to the end. That's what I used to apply glue to the wallpaper.
