The cedar decking, now 1 years old, is starting to die. Several planks were recently replaced.

Roller blinds are very versatile and are one of the best types of blinds that you can get. They can be used in any sort of room and are very easy to install. The different types of roller blinds that you can find today are those that are fold able and ones that are stationary.

Finally got my two Polewrap products. I'm very happy the packaging is so small. In the middle picture you can see the thickness of it compared to the original steel pole.. and then I quickly put one of them up briefly just to check how it looks.. We are both very happy with the result. Will put it up finally after we paint the basement walls.

After knocking out the drywall for the new closet.

Hello, I'm Reagan Oÿsterhouse, and today on "Mushroom Might": We found this beat-up desk at an estate sale for $10, and contrary to all the other shows we're going to remove the distressed look rather than add it. Once we strip and restain it, this will be repurposed as the new bill catch-all, junk drawers, and telephone stand next to the fridge.

This job is a go, as soon as a clear runway is available.

I don't like the carpet treads on the stairs.

Dry wall has been installed.

Here was the mess I had before. It was the original brick fireplace, only it has been painted over many times.

Hooray! The final tile goes in!

The toilet is installed.

Everyone sing Hallelujah!

Laura knocking out the back wall of tiles.

I'm not done painting yet, so don't think I'm a horrible painter. I ran out of that blue tape and I need to get more before I can do the edges.

Just waiting for the wee one.

I have been working all day on this backyard trying to make it into a awesome summer hang out. My deadline is fourth of July. Since I committed to having the celebration at my place this year. And to make sure I get it done, I have already sent out the invitations to everyone. Doesn't look like much but the dirt surrounding the cement was covered in foot high weeds and the table was covered in dirt pie haha looks 50 times better.

First phase of my home remodelling....goodbye fuse box, hello uber-Breaker box!

The other thing I realized is that the sink + cupboard will be close to the left wall you see here, but not close enough that I can skip the paint.. but close enough that I can't really paint it anymore after I installed the new sink / cupboard.

So... I have to paint the wall now :(

Well, at least the parts of the wall that is involved with the sink.. I can paint the rest of the washroom later. :-)

One coat of primer, one coat of paint. Rest now, more tomorrow.

(Thank goodness for fast-drying pro primers. 30-45 minutes and you can top-coat on it.. Awesome.)

We had quite a time with these. The middle stem is shorter than the other two and caused us alot of trips to Yardbirds.

The new door way into the bedroom is framed.

that round thingie is responsible for shooting scolding water up to my radiators

Originally the thought was that I'd leave the stove out on the back porch until the floor was in. Well, three things happened...

a) First time in a month, it's raining. And making up for lost time.

b) A dinner party tonight. Not one I proposed, one others said "hey, your kitchen should be done by the 20th, we'll come over!" and created. I was the last to know.

c) You can only live on fast food and microwaveables for so long.

So it's in place (or until the motivation to floor strikes) and functional.

The demo stage is always messier then you originally think it will be.

I cut as much of the carpet out that I could around this section. I can't believe that someone would build a drywall wall over a section of carpet. Mind boggling.
