Even though it's been a month since my US trip ended I haven't posted any photos from home since, so it's time to fix that.
Here's a silhouette of the Melbourne CBD at sunset from late September.
The female osprey takes a moment to stretch her wings by taking a short flight from the nest to collect a twig. I think the "tatty" state of her feathers is just the result of being on the nest so long. This was in the fifth week after the eggs had hatched.

When I look into his eyes, I don't see perfection. I don't see a love story that would necessarily be something people would watch on a big screen and dream about. I see someone who will fight for me and protect me and love me in spite of any of my short-comings and flaws. I see home. Wherever he is, that's my home...
I amused myself for sometime yesterday playing with this photo. I liked the original because of the smoke coming out of the chimney and thought the whole thing smacked of country living. Again, I don't remember when or where this was taken but I do know it was on one of Anita's and my adventures. It's another example of my "drive by shootings" at its finest! LOL I hope I have created a more aged appearance to the photo? Today will be my first day driving since the operation... Look out world!! LOL Have a great day everyone! ;)

I haven't been able to find any history on this old home in Madison County, Alabama. It certainly has been there a long while.
This Red Bellied Woodpecker is very much at home whereby he could easily skip out for a quick meal just outside his home sweet home !

I'm in the ground floor of a Georgian town house, built in 1805. The rooms are huge - this is just half the sittingroom! It still has a lot of original features such as the cornices & marble fireplace and very high ceilings. A bugger to keep warm though!
