... due to the evacuation of 60.000 people (including us) from 8AM to 8PM in the center of Frankfurt. The disposal of a British WW2 'blockbuster' bomb of 1,400kg will take until the afternoon, so hopefully we can return home in the evening ...

After a long day at school, it’s good to come home.
This Blythe doll is Petit Dejeuner, posing for the theme “There’s no place like home” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The background is a coloring poster. I’ve been wanting to work on this poster for a while and I finally took a break from jigsaw puzzles to give it a go. It was really fun! Of course, I chose this particular poster because I thought it would work as a background for Blythe pictures. I used colored pencils, and it took about 8 hours to finish.

Returning to my childhood home for the summer has been much more confusing than I thought it would be. I haven't been home for an extended period of time since I moved out two summers ago, and now that I've been here for almost three months, it's starting to feel like living instead of visiting.
But in some ways, I feel like I don't belong here anymore. My friends aren't here, and my parents and brother have a life outside of me now. I'm suspended for a time, my freedom relinquished, a child once again in my parents' house, but I know what it's like to have no clothing and no way to get somewhere and no food in the house and no one to blame it on.
And I know what it's like to feel like there's no place for you, nowhere you belong, because your parents are throwing the things in your office away and turning it into a leisure room and planning vacations and holidays and not inviting you.
Now I'm just a picture on the wall, a memory of when I was young. And when I protest, they say, "But you're gone." And I want to say, "I still need somewhere to belong."

Merry Christmas everyone!
So it only seemed fitting to celebrate Christmas with a figure of Kevin from Home Alone as this year was its 25th Anniversary. As a kid, this movie was always the go-to for a bit of festive humour, and to be honest, not much has changed.
I hope you guys liked what I did here - I struggled to choose which outfit to use for the figure, but I settled on this one as, from what I remember, this is what he wears on the night his home is broken into (which is quite obviously the best part of the film!).
