"I want to make coming home your favourite part of the day. I want to leave tiny little words lingering in your mind, on nights when you’re far away and can’t sleep. I want to make everything around us beautiful; make small things mean a little more. Make you feel a little more. A little better, a little lighter. The coffee is warm, this cup is yours. I want to be someone you can’t live without."

~ Charlotte Eriksson

The only way that it can describe why I love these abandoned old time capsules of homes is that it is the closest that I will ever come to "time travel." There's a fascinating world out there.

The ache for home lives in all of us

The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.

Home of storks near Kalloni wetlands.

The famous Home Alone House in Winnetka, IL.

I love kitchen/dining/lounge room. Kae had to fight tooth and nail to get the table and chairs. I loved having the open space to slide around in socks on.

After wandering for some time I've decided to put down some roots again. Fresh air, a cool lake breeze and the songs of nature around me with a fire to warm to as the sun sets and makes room for the moon..

Putting down roots doesn't necessarily mean putting up a roof. Only time will tell ;)

They say home is where the heart is. For most people, it consists of four walls and a welcome mat. But for me, it's the ocean or the river.

Just a “gap filler” pic I used on Instagram, might as well share here too. No editing, ran through Lightroom is all.

My lil home, the Zanzibar Hideaway by Scarlet Creative.

I always seem to gravitate back to using this lil house on a rock.

I don’t know why, apart from it’s so cute.

When I first joined Second Life I believe this was one of the very first houses I purchased, way before PBR, even paid full price for it!

Every time I decorate it, I always think “god I’d live there for real” and then I think about carrying bags and bags of groceries up all those stairs and I say “probably not”

But anyway, when my pic says “photo taken at home” this is where the magic happened.

Though on the main highway this occupied house sits across the street from a huge resort, and is adjacent to water and restaurants. The property is worth big $$.

Lancaster, PA, is home of the largest Amish community in the USA. The Amish community here is also the oldest such community in the country. The Amish arrived in Lancaster in the 1720's, escaping persecution in Europe and seeking a better life for themselves and their families.

A portrait of Homer Simpson. This is a leftover from a photoshoot from the summer.

I've been a fan of The Simpsons from The Ullman Era, and proudly can say that I own quite a collection of merchandise from the early days. And that's why, I'm so thrilled to see the Simpsons finally in LEGO form! They look absolutely beautiful in my opinion. So pardon me, taking a few photos of them time to time to fill my Something Else -album.

Home delivery - quite literally!

Actually, I'm quite a domesticated person. I love the little things of home.
