Alexander Herrmann was one of the great magicians of the 19th century. “Herrmann the Great,” as he was known, was part of one of the first “families of magic.” His father was a part-time magician; his brother, and later his wife Adelaide, were famed magicians in their own right.
Herrmann was well known for his goatee and a thick moustache with upturned ends. His facial features were said to give him a mystical look.
Herrmann became most famous during his three year stretch performing at the Egyptian Hall in England. Towards the end of his career, he and his wife Adelaide purchased a railway car and traveled across the U.S. giving performances - you can enter a replica of this railway car for a magical experience of your own in Magic! at HMNS.
Herrmann died of a heart attack in 1896 while aboard his railcar on his way to a show in Great Valley, New York.

Hocus Pocus Castle Show - 2017
This was my first time shooting this show and there are a lot of things I missed that I would like to go back and capture again if possible.
The talent in this show - dancers and characters alike... is absolutely UNREAL.

Red & White striped rose developed in Perth Western australia, it is thornless & has no perfume but the beauty of the velvet looking petals compensate.

Near the beginning of the 1993 movie "Hocus Pocus", Max rides his bike through this cemetery and is stopped at this location by 2 local punks who harass him and steal his shoes. One of the punks actually stands on the box tomb near the middle of this shot. Also the name Mary Doak can be seen in the movie on one of the headstones(lower left corner).
Old Burial Hill in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Started in 1638. Contains the graves of many early settlers of the area.
