Fantastic Halloween party held at the Kansas City Power & Light district. Costume winner (Edward Scissorhands) won $5K. Predator came in second.. but I feel was denied :) That is a handmade costume from hell!! So much fun, this was our second year.
This is another new Jar Fairy I made called: The Spirit Girls Wizard Class!
I used my digitak photo: Spirit Girl to make the piece, along with a glass ball, tiny apothecary glass and other magical items!

Using an old book [ 9x4 approx ] which was covered in pva glue and tissues followed by broken egg shells to give the Dragon scale effect , then white jesso followed by black and green acrylic paint , then gold gilding wax . The eye socket was built up with tissue , the glass cabijon eye was painted from the rear with seven different colour nail varnishes . Die cut layered letters . Leather strap and padlock to add to the forbidding effect .
The book won First prize at the local craft and flower show last year .
