BSO Concert - Hocus Pocus
Tonight we went to the Hocus Pocus concert put on by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. We went to one of the concerts last year and had a lot of fun and tonight was no different. Actually, it was a bit different. The fireworks show and grand finale was better.
They played music tonight from Pirates Of The Caribbean, Fantasia, Harry Potter, Crouching Tiger, Indiana Jones and more. The finale was a melody of John Williams scores and the fire works show went so well with it.
Savanah told me last year at the concert that it was her best night ever. Tonight she told me it was her best night ever in her whole life! I'm guessing that means that she really liked the show! LOL
The 4th Annual Bel-Air Film Festival (www.belairfilmfestival.com), an independent international film festival recognized for celebrating cinema in one of Southern California’s most prestigious and storied communities kicked off it’s opening night on October 12, 2011. Dedicated to film education and exploration, the Bel-Air Film Festival offers its filmmakers access to a series of film panels, exciting music performances, and networking opportunities with some of the industry’s top professionals. Film screenings include Documentaries, Animation, Short Films, Student Film and Comedy. The festival also hosts both opening and closing night galas.

Fantastic Halloween party held at the Kansas City Power & Light district. Costume winner (Edward Scissorhands) won $5K. Predator came in second.. but I feel was denied :) That is a handmade costume from hell!! So much fun, this was our second year.

While this Halloween display was cute, it was a bit disturbing, as well. Why? This display was outside of a day school. If you haven't seen the movie, The Sanderson Sisters extended their lives by stealing the life-force/energy of children which ended up killing their victims. While I don't think that this was necessarily creepy on purpose, I tend to see odd connections that others do not so this one I did ... find a tad unnerving?
as you can see i didn't get alot of fotos for this race. lets just say, a fast paced 30miles to the south, east, and west boonies of austin can put a girl in some hurt. ha. was a great race.
