Someone used lag bolts to attach a gate hinge to a cottonwood tree. The tree is now dead and lying beside a trail in Lockwood Park. I was looking for a large lizard I had recently seen when I noticed this anomaly on the tree. As I approached I realized the scar was caused by the hinge.

This is an old rusty & decayed hinge on the big old abandoned steam train. It just looked so good and begged to be looked at again

I think this just might be my favorite of Saturday's rusty close-ups on the facade of the old building near Kinards, SC. It looks more like art to me than any of the other rusty close-ups I shot that day.
