I wanna, lick you from yo' head to yo' toes

And I wanna, move from the bed down to the down to the to the floor

Then I wanna, you make it so good I don't wanna leave

But I gotta, know what-what's your fantasy

Nature awaits him with her infinite variety; the discovery of distant lands, or opportunities no less Important or desired for, which may be just around the corner. Enjoyable walks await him, stimulating journeys; the priceless satisfaction whatever may be the outcomes of his photography, of a day well spent :-)

I almost never post 2 at the same time but I felt they needed to go together. Plus vacation is over and it's back to work.

For him, the existential question of God, experienced as an invincible question, is evidence enough of the presence and reality of God. “When all our mind is aglow with the eternal ques- tion like a face in gazing on a mighty blaze, we are not moved to ask: Where is God?” No, in that context we ask “Where are we?” and are moved to confess that “God is more plausible than our own selves.”

A Crane ( sorry I meant to say Great Blue Heron), in the water at Diaz Lake, at sunrise, one morning while we were camping. He took off right arter this but I never got a good shot of him in flight.

“Let him keep careful watch over his thoughts. Let him observe their intensity, their periods of decline and follow them as they rise and fall. Let him note well the complexity of his thoughts, their periodicity, the demons which cause them, with the order of their succession and the nature of their associations.”

He says, whenever you are plagued by distractions, “try to look over their shoulders, as it were, searching for something else—and that something is God, enclosed in the cloud of unknowing.”

“I found him carefully studying me, his lips in a thin line.

“Has anyone ever taken care of you?” he asked quietly.

“No.”

I’d long since stopped feeling sorry for myself about it.”

Michael Watson at trombone.

This last friday he played together with Dee Dee Bridgewater in Oslo. Best concert ever imho.

Some words from Evan Christopher on Michael found on the internet:

Lanky, stylish yet unassuming and thoughtful, he has a full sound on trombone that reminds me of Al Grey from the Count Basie band, and he sings with a playful, confident voice that has glimpses of Donny Hathaway. Watching him and speaking with him in “The Spotlight,” I realized that Michael is the paradigm of a young musician who is living in New Orleans to be a part of the culture, who did not come to opportunistically capitalize on the city’s reputation or currency abroad.

To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. (Revelation 2:7)

The stripes may mark him as the prisoner, yet the weight rests on her shoulders. His smoke drifts free into the night, while she sits bound by silence. On the steps of the Cathedral, the roles of captive and keeper quietly reverse. Shot in Cologne, Germany with a Leica M11 Mono and Summilux 50mm.

This guy was right in the muddle of the road so did not to get to close and disturb him, but when I did I could see it was a Rabbit.

This event requires control, attention to detail, and a close partnership between horse and rider. Competing against the clock, contestants circle three barrels in a cloverleaf pattern and race back across the scoreline. Time is measured with an electronic eye timer, and a hundredth of a second can determine who wins. A rider may touch a barrel, but if she knocks one over a five-second penalty is added to her total time.

“The artist is the confidant of nature, flowers carry on dialogues with him through the graceful bending of their stems and the harmoniously tinted nuances of their blossoms. Every flower has a cordial word which nature directs towards him.”... Auguste Rodin

He stood at the edge of the dock, the boards beneath him damp with mist and memory. The sea stretched out like a forgotten canvas, gray and endless, swallowing the horizon. Somewhere beyond the fog, a sailboat drifted-silent, untethered, like the promises he’d made and failed to keep. The lighthouse blinked slowly, a pulse in the distance, steady and patient, as if it had been waiting for him to look up. He hadn’t come for the view. He’d come to face the silence.

He used to have a compass-not in his hand, but in his heart. A sense of who he was, what he stood for, how to love without faltering. But somewhere along the way, he’d lost it. Not in a single moment, but in a thousand small ones: missed chances, careless words, the slow erosion of integrity. He hadn’t just lost his way. He’d failed to live up to the man he swore he’d be. And in doing so, he’d failed her-the one person who saw him clearly, who believed in him even when he didn’t.

The wind tugged at his coat, as if urging him to turn back, but the dock was the last place he remembered feeling honest. He came here hoping the sea might forgive him, might carry his apology across the waves. And then, through the fog, the sailboat shifted-its sail catching a sliver of light. The lighthouse blinked again, brighter this time. Not a warning, but a welcome. A way forward. A whisper: You’re not beyond redemption.

And in that moment, something stirred. Not absolution, but the possibility of it. A warmth in the chest, a quiet resolve. Maybe he couldn’t undo the past, but he could choose the next step. He took a breath, deep and briny, and stepped forward-not away from the shadows, but into them. Because sometimes, the light finds you not when you deserve it, but when you’re finally ready to earn it.

We called him stubby. He has only a partial tail obviously nabbed in a fight or something..

I want to take this time to thank ALL that sent me Flickr mail and comments on my stream during my absence. I felt sooo honored that so many worried about my well being. I'm very healthy! I just spent time doing other things I'm interested in. I try not be one-dimensional. It’s important for me to diversify my interests.

I did bugger both shoulders building a shed and re-doing my garage, but other than that and having hernia surgery after my Canada trip I'm as healthy as a ole horse. Not ready for pasture yet, but slowing down a bit. It's hard aging unless you have hobbies and a reason to get up in the morning. So many have shared so much on Flickr and I believe this is a forum of interaction and getting to know one another and our lives that connect us through our photography addiction.

So, to those of you that posted your concerns about my whereabouts, and health, not to worry...but it so honoring and much appreciated. Thank you all soo very much for caring about this ole guy!!!

Make it a great day my dear friends, as it is a choice!!

After spending a couple of hours with him, finally he chose a nice perch for me. Central Florida.

17 years today this lovable and funny boy joined our family...

I miss him each day..

The stone sculptures in Sno, a small village in the Kazbegi region of Georgia, are part of a remarkable art project in the Caucasus. These sculptures consist of impressive stone artworks depicting giant faces, often with a melancholic or mysterious expression. They were created by local artist Merab Piranishvili, who is renowned for his unique ability to bring faces and emotions to life in natural stone. Working primarily with local stones, he carves expressive facial features that tell stories about life, the soul, and the deep connection with nature. The sculptures symbolize the ancient wisdom of the mountain dwellers and the spirit of the past. The faces sometimes appear sad or contemplative, reflecting both the challenges and the beauty of life in the Caucasus. Fully integrated into the surrounding landscape, the sculptures stand among the mountains, hills, and rugged grasslands, blending seamlessly with their natural environment. This is what makes Piranishvili’s work so unique: he respects the natural shapes of the stones and subtly adds human characteristics without compromising their raw, natural beauty. Piranishvili often works directly in the field, selecting local stones and carving them with a hammer and chisel. He carefully considers the natural form of each stone, adapting his designs to create a result that looks organic and harmonizes with the surrounding environment.

Sno is located near the breathtaking Stepantsminda area and the imposing Mount Kazbegi. The stone sculptures are a hidden gem in this region, attracting an increasing number of art enthusiasts and travelers. The site exudes a serene, almost meditative atmosphere—perfect for those seeking something unique off the beaten path. If you ever find yourself near Kazbegi, these sculptures are well worth a visit. They offer a truly unique experience where art and nature come together in perfect harmony.

They came into the house, and saw the young child with Mary, his mother, and falling down on their faces they gave him worship: and from their store they gave him offerings of gold, perfume, and spices." Matthew 2:10 & 11

I found him in an alley when he was a tiny kitten. He and two other kittens were in a carrier. Someone put the carrier there, opened the little door on the carrier and left them sitting there. How could anyone just abandon them, like that? We kept this one and found good homes for the other two kittens.
