Didn't think he'd make it to his birthday. The polyps in the nose are still inflamed. I have to wipe his nose a lot. Still on prednisone and an antibiotic every few weeks. He doesn't eat much, but he still seems to enjoy life. Still following me like a dog and still playing now and then.
Also see the previous image of him I have posted.

To him that waits all things reveal themselves, provided that he has the courage not to deny, in the darkness, what he has seen in the light.

My Bob has had a rough week... last Thursday we had to rush him to the emergency vet because he was staining to make.... he was yowling all over the house, staining while he was walking.... the vet said his bladder was full and he had a blockage.... after flushing him out in both areas, we took him home... a few days and he still acted strange... constantly going in and out of the box and nothing... but then he did make and what a relief...
On Monday I took him to our vet and she did a lot of tests, even a urine culture.... thank goodness his levels are not bad and he's acting like his old self.... he is 17 years old!
She put him on an antibiotic for a week and I'm hoping that will also help him feel better.
It's so scary and heartbreaking when you know they don't feel well and they can't tell you what is wrong...
Thank God he is doing better... so we want to wish everyone a Happy Caturday and enjoy the rest of the weekend!!
This gorgeous giant swallowtail was hanging out on the firebush soaking up some rays when I spotted him through the window. I took a couple of snaps and went out to see if I could get a shot from outside but alas he was already gone.
I hope your day is filled with incredible opportunities and you are able to take full advantage of them. Happy snapping.
I planted several milkweed bushes a couple of weeks ago to help Monarchs on their migration. To my delight, I've seen several stopping by. This one was shy, and every time I approached, he retreated. He appeared to watch me from a tree, waiting for me to leave him in peace. So I did.....
See him take off with one of our chocolate eggs?!
Yes we had snow again and it got cold.
Someone I visited last week gave me this cute little bike, she probably felt she had to after I said I liked it.....

The evening light has come
It's obvious that they are meant to be together
They have been wondering
Where is he
Where is she
Was this it
And then suddenly the time was right
The Universe opened up
The light beamed its way down
They were both hit by it
Time flies when they are spending their precious time together
They like each other immensely
The chemistry is like electrified
It says ZAP if you go in between them
"May I have this dance, dear, may I have it forever?"
The answer is obvious
Fynn has many hiding spots and it's often difficult to get hold of him when he has to take his medicine and doesn't want to. When I took this photo he was just hiding from the neighbour's dogs though, not because he was afraid but because he was waiting for he best moment for a big show which would drive them crazy. It always works.
"Panoramic view of St.Wolfgang" Sankt Wolfgang is a district of the town of Bad Griesbach im Rottal in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau.
According to legend, Saint Bishop Wolfgang of Regensburg got lost in this area on his hike to the Salzkammergut in 976. A thrown ax showed him the way out of the forest. The pilgrimage church of St. Wolfgang was built on the spot where the ax struck.
“I was going to kiss him, and I was going to regret it. But at that moment, I couldn’t bring myself to care.”
I know it's difficult... ;P
He's been curled up...mostly completely under all the covers, since 7am.
I was folding laundry all morning, and doing chores, and he just stayed there.
I don't think he's very fond of cold, wet weather. He was sitting by the floor
heat vents this morning, when I invited him up on the couch - he likes :)
I’d like to dedicate this shot to a good friend of mine William McIntosh. I have spent the last 4 months shooting as much as I can with Bill and trying to gleen info from him about his weather prediction skills and gain some insight about his frame of mind about photography. He is a master of weather prediction IMHO and I have always admired his tenacity which has netted him some absolutely fantastic captures from Yosemite National Park and the Pacific Northwest. Bill contacted me during the week to see if I was up for a Banzai run to Yosemite Valley as he was predicting a passage in the storm which would provide a high probability of misty/snowy conditions like seen in many of his postings from there. Of course Bill was right on the money as was shown from some of the webcams provided there. But unfortunately I had to decline as I was starting to get sick with the Flu and didn’t want to drag him down with me. Today he contacted me again to see if I was up for some shooting at Corona Del Mar but I was still trying to fight off the Flu and as painful as it was had to opt out again. Later, today, as I was digging through my folder of processed photos I found this shot and the pain of declination returned. Sorry Bill, I was more worried about getting you sick then worsening my own condition. LOL. Thanks for the invite my friend and hope you had a great day at CDM. If you would like to see William’s amazing photography, you can visit his stream here.

Tale of the Take…
This is a side view of the arch found at Corona Del Mar, If you wanted to get a full view through the arch you would need to scramble along the cliffsides base there at a specific tide level, I say specific because if you time it incorrectly you wouldn’t drown but you would have to spend a long, cold night on the rocks or call the Coast Guard to come “fish” you out which carries along an $800 dollar or better rescue charge. I’m still hoping that Bill will show me the specifics of entering here at a time that would be safe to enter and exit during the sunset. See what I mean about his tenacity. :)
Please come over and check out my other photos, you might find something else you like. :)
Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my photos, and as always, your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!! Have a great weekend everybody!! :)

I captured this rare visitor to Michigan last Saturday evening. I had heard a bunch of rumbling while I was at work that one had showed up at the beach in one of our local metro parks. When I got off work, me and my wife went to mass and after words headed over to the park. We located him out on the beach. He allowed me to photograph him without being spooked for a little bit. I spent about 10 min rattling off a bunch of images and then left him alone. Figured he needed some food and rest for the rest of his journey.
He was standing just on shore when this little wave came in and splashed off of him.
(Catching up as I been working 65+ hours a week for a while now)
Magpie-lark (Grallina cyanoleuca) male
While on the balcony I heard him calling from Rick's 'big tree'.
I really want to thank everyone who sent me emails and well wishes for my husband during his hospital stay! He will be coming home tomorrow and I am so glad, he was in the hospital for 6 long days and Snoopy and I really missed him!
I just can't tell you how much it means to me that so many people care!
I overhead a fellow shutterbug talking with her son and he was telling her that he knew the fog was going to be good Sunday.
She jokingly called him a fog whisper.

This is John, I’ve seen him around Durham city a few times, he’s always alone, but seems to be a really cheerful character. Never had the opportunity to say hello previously, but while on a shoot with my good friend, Martin, we saw him sat happily, smoking his pipe. I approached him and said I loved his jumper, we all got chatting, and he told us that strangers are often quite mean to him and have been violent towards him, so he’s been advised to not approach people. It is clear that he has additional needs, which makes me sad that people can be so cruel to those who are vulnerable. What a really sweet guy he was, we chatted for about 10 minutes and I told him, if he sees me out and about, to come and say hello and we can have a natter. He was also very happy to have his photo taken.
I went to Powell River to see my lifer Black-tailed Gull. It is a bird I have always wanted to see. It was a really long day to get there and get back home but was worth every minute. He flew all the way from Asia, the least I can do is travel 6.5 hours and take 2 ferries to see him! He used to stay on a rock in the middle of the ocean that you had to have a boat to get to but today he flew right into town on the government dock allowing us to view him from land. I also got to see a pod of Pacific White-Sided Dolphins frolicking behind him. I rarely get to see dolphins so it was a special treat. This gull is really stunning. It is a 3rd cycle gull and he has beautiful pale eyes, white eye arcs and that unique yellow bill with black ring and red tip. Plus of course his conspicuous black tail band and white rump. He flew into the ocean once for a quick swim and it allowed me to see that. He really is very elegant with his dark grey back and wings and black wingtips. I'm really lucky I got to see him so close to shore today. This is the 422 nd bird I have seen in BC. This is the second rare Asiatic gull in BC right now as a Slaty-backed Gull was found a few days later but has not been relocated.
This is a heavy crop but wanted to post it anyways since it is such a special bird.
This is only the 3rd confirmed photo documented record for the province of BC. This bird is listed as a code 4 by the ABA.

Ain't no talkin to this man
Ain't no pretty other side
Ain't no way to understand the stupid words of pride
It would take an acrobat, and I already tried all that so
I'm gonna let him fly
Things can move at such a pace
The second hand just waved goodbye
You know the light has left his face
But you can't recall just where or why
So there was really nothing to it
I just went and cut right through it
I said I'm gonna let him fly
There's no mercy in a live wire
No rest at all in freedom
Of the choices we are given it's no choice at all
The proof is in the fire
You touch before it moves away
But you must always know how long to stay and when to go
And there ain't no talkin' to this man
He's been tryin' to tell me so
It took awhile to understand the beauty of just letting go
Cause it would take an acrobat, I already tried all that
I'm gonna let him fly
I'm gonna let him fly
I'm gonna let him fly
