In May 2015, Hijinks hijacked Madame Tussauds Sydney, turning the wax attraction into an over-the-top, fake-it-till-you-make-it party where everyone had made it to the big time.

The night featured pop-up bars, interactive games, and performances, including a Katy Perry tribute show from Pickled Tink, an Elvis performance by Nick “the King” Nicolas, a Marilyn drag show by Decoda Secret, stand-up comedy from Sam Kissajukian, a chorus girl performance by The Big Spenders, paparazzi by the Jetpack Collective and a giant Beyonce dance lesson by Diesel Darling.

For more info on the next Hijinks event, visit www.hijinkssydney.com. Hijinks is presented by The Festivalists and Merlin Events Australia.

HIJINKS takes over popular venues and re-imagines them as after-hours playgrounds and pop-up bars for adults. Featuring interactive activities and live performances by some of Sydney's brightest up-and-coming artists, these events remix the city into something unique and entirely unexpected.

On September 18th, Gallery Hijinks opened “Highly Contagious,” featuring works from Chris Blackstock, Sebastian Wahl, Robert Minervini, Langdon Graves, Jen Mann, Andrea Wan, Catherine Ryan and Peter Gronquist. The space offered an interesting array of various themes presented on media that ranged from multi-layer resin collages (Wahl), to installations including beer bottles gathered from friends’ apartments and bits andpieces from Tenderloin street corners (Blackstock.) We spoke to some of the artistsfeatured in the show to find out more about their work and how the show came together.

... or anti-Twilight shirt, courtesy of Hijinks Ensue.

I said it before, and I'll say it again - The only Team Edward I want to be a part of is with Edward James Olmos. ^_^;

Speaking of Twilight for a brief moment, in one of my rare moments of catching broadcast TV, I heard the shocking rumors that Robert Pattinson is being considered to replace Tobey Maguire in the next Spider-Man film -- WHY?! (Not to say that I'm into either of them - and I'm NOT! [*ahem* to two of my friends out there. ^_^;] -- But this ... I'll just pretend the films stop at the 3rd one.)

Man, Sam Raimi had better redeem himself when he and Bruce Campbell remake The Evil Dead...

Oh, wait... I was talking about Edward... right?

In any case, I will wear this t-shirt with honor - No way in Hell am I going to get soy sauce, or anything else, staining it.
