My Aunt and Uncle have a few very nice cars in their collection and in this garage there is a rare one.
"The Shelby Series 1 was a high-performance roadster designed by Carroll Shelby and produced by Shelby American.
It was powered by Oldsmobile's 4.0 L L47 Aurora V8 DOHC engine. It has 320 hp (324 PS) at 6500 rpm, 290 lb⋅ft (390 N⋅m) at 5000 rpm and will do 0-60 mph (0–96 km/h) in 4.4 seconds and records 12.8 seconds in the quarter mile at 112 mph (180 km/h). Top speed is 170 mph (273.5 km/h) (15 mph (24 km/h) faster than the 427 Shelby Cobra). The 1998 car weighed 1,202 kg (2,650 lb).
The Series 1 is the only car ever designed and engineered by Carroll Shelby from a clean sheet of paper, and built from the ground up. All other Shelbys are re-engineered models produced by other manufacturers and modified by Shelby.
Prior to production of the Series 1, significant costs were incurred in testing and certification required to conform to 1999 Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Once completed, a total of 249 production Series 1 were constructed by Shelby American, Inc., all as 1999 models." Wiki
The Champs- Elysees in Paris at night is a bit like Times Square in New York - flashing lights,crowds of people. However, I don't remember car showrooms like this in New York. All the fanciest cars in the world to drool over - and I love sports cars!

I was crossing Cambie @ West Cordova when this motorcyclist stopped with his BMW. When I got to the other side, I had to compliment him on his bike and ask for a photo. I really liked using my XA2 for street photography, and it paired really well with HP5.

On this day, the team performed to honor "Hometown Heroes" at the Thunder Over the Bay Air Show at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California. Like most men, I’ve loved certain types of cars, ever since I was a little boy growling up in Karachi, Pakistan. The obvious ones like Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, etc. and even Ford Motor Company Mustang, and the Chevrolet Corvette of that era, along with almost every Mercedes-Benz AG ever made were on the list.
Over the decades a couple of names dropped off my list, eg the Mustang got too boxy, the Alfa Romeo brand was almost dead, while Ferrari just kept making more and more designs I love. Porsche AG and BMW Group rarely interested me, although I did buy a BMW Z3 which had been seen in the James Bind movie that year. Also, harsh as they may seem to me sometimes, at least Lamborghini’s shapes do interest me.
Along the way the Acura NSX made a brief appearance on my list but good as the brand is supposed to be, Acura vehicles never excited me. At least until now. Even though it’s just an ad, with just the perfect angle and colors, this Acura Type S immediately excited me as one of my TypeS of cars, pun intended. Too bad I would not spend a dime to enrich the world's fascistshitiest man, Elon megalomaniac Musk.
I have not walked around or sat inside one of these so I’m not sure how my impression translates in the real world. Car lovers will also notice some look-alike elements from other brands and super cars. But for now, I loved this picture, sparse as it is on details that truly matter. What do you think ?

The Mercedes-AMG GTS is a more highly equipped variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT. The M178 engine in this variant is tuned to an output of 385 kW (523 PS; 516 hp) and includes electronically controlled limited-slip differential,Race Mode and Race Start mode settings in the AMG Dynamic Select adaptive drivetrain system, AMG Ride Control adaptive suspensive system, an AMG Performance Exhaust System with dynamic flaps, and a lithium-ion battery with 19 inch fromt and 20 inch rear wheels.

The Fiat Abarth 2000 Scorpio was designed by Pininfarina and introduced at the 1969 Turin Motor Show. It featured a mid-engine layout with 2.0-liter inline-four engine producing around 220 horsepower. The design was futuristic, with sharp lines, and a unique 180-degree pillarless cockpit.
The car had a top speed of 175 mph (281 km/h) and a weight of 1,477 pounds (670 kilograms). It was a one-off concept car, showcasing advanced aerodynamics and performance capabilities.
Italian racing car maker Abarth was founded by Carlo Abarth in 1949 and focused on producing high-performance exhaust systems and tuning kits for Fiat. Abarth’s logo depicts a stylized scorpion on a red and yellow background. In the 1960s, Abarth became more closely affiliated with Fiat, producing performance versions of Fiat models and participating in motorsport events.
In 1971, Fiat acquired Abarth, integrating it into its operations. This allowed Fiat to continue using the Abarth name for its high-performance models. As a subsidiary of Fiat, Abarth continued to focus on producing performance vehicles for both road and race.
