The Comet itself was a model produced by Mercury from 1960 to 1977, and it went through various iterations, starting as a compact car and later becoming a mid-size car. The Escapade was customized by George Barris, who completed the customization in just six weeks. The Comet was shortened by sixteen inches and featured custom sheet metal, sequential turn signals, a white leather interior, and pearlescent blue paint. [Source: Wikipedia]

The late 1960s was an all-out horsepower war by most American marques. GM had their Yenko Camaro 396c.i. and optional 427c.i., Chrysler their 426c.i. Hemi-powered cars, and Ford with the potent GT500. The GT350R versions were true race-bred machines while the GT500 had many power features, big engines, and comfortable interiors.
The GT500 was first put into production in 1966 and carried a sticker price of $4,195. They were instantly popular, outselling the 289-powered engines nearly 2-to-1. These were the final Mustangs to be built by *Shelby-American. All future models were constructed by Ford, receiving only some input from Shelby.
*Shelby American was founded by Carroll Shelby in 1962 to build and market high performance parts and modified cars for individuals. Some of the automobiles produced by Shelby American were the Ford Mustang-based Shelby GT350 and Shelby GT500. Shelby American also created the legendary Shelby Cobra which was an AC Ace with a Ford V8.
The company was also highly involved with racing, with Shelby cars winning many races and the first title for an American constructor at the World Sportscar Championship in 1965. In 1966 Shelby American also provided support to Ford for their successful campaign to win the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans as the historically first American constructor ever. With Shelby Daytona, Shelby became one of only three American constructors (along with Ford and Chevrolet) to win title on the international scene at the FIA World Championships.

The Mikoyan MiG-29 (Russian: Микоян МиГ-29; NATO reporting name: "Fulcrum") is a twin-engine jet fighter aircraft designed in the Soviet Union. Developed by the Mikoyan design bureau as an air superiority fighter during the 1970s, the MiG-29, along with the larger Sukhoi Su-27, was developed to counter new American fighters such as the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle, and the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon. The MiG-29 entered service with the Soviet Air Force in 1983.
While originally oriented towards combat against any enemy aircraft, many MiG-29s have been furnished as multirole fighters capable of performing a number of different operations, and are commonly outfitted to use a range of air-to-surface armaments and precision munitions.
The MiG-29 has been manufactured in several major variants, including the multirole Mikoyan MiG-29M and the navalised Mikoyan MiG-29K; the most advanced member of the family to date is the Mikoyan MiG-35.
Later models frequently feature improved engines, glass cockpits with HOTAS-compatible flight controls, modern radar and IRST sensors, considerably increased fuel capacity; some aircraft have also been equipped for aerial refuelling.
Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the militaries of a number of former Soviet republics have continued to operate the MiG-29, the largest of which is the Russian Air Force.
The Russian Air Force wanted to upgrade its existing fleet to the modernised MiG-29SMT configuration, but financial difficulties have limited deliveries. The MiG-29 has also been a popular export aircraft; more than 30 nations either operate or have operated the aircraft to date, India being one of the largest export operators of the type.
As of 2013, the MiG-29 is in production by Mikoyan, a subsidiary of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) since 2006.

Finally got my little Falcon at the body shop to make long over due repairs. Been on hold while the house renovation has been taking place. It's gotten me excited thinking about being back on the road soon, so I looked back over some photos from before the "fender bender" and found this one. View of the old 'coon from my barn loft. Over processed, but I like it.
For those of you who have a complaint about the amount of noise in this shot, look, it is a bloody Lamborghini. What did you think it was gonna do? Whimper?

The Porsche 911 GT3 is a high performance version of the Porsche 911 sports car primarily intended for racing. It is a line of high-performance models, which began with the 1973 911 Carrera RS. The GT3, introduced in 1999, is named after the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile Group GT3 class, in which it was designed to compete.
