The ride up to about 3800 meters requires taking two cable cars (changing in a station in between). This picture is taken from the second car. One single rope goes all the way up. This holds the record as the highest vertical ascent cable car in the world to 3842 m (the top station). The span of the second section is 2,867 m (1.781 mi) measured directly, but only 2,500 m (1.6 mi) measured horizontally. It is scary when you look at it, no supporting pillars, one rope pulling a cable car full of 30-40 people all the way up. (Took this picture using phone camera. It is tricky to take pictures without reflection.)

Britton Hill is the highest natural point in the state of Florida with a summit elevation of 345 feet above mean sea level. Britton Hill is the lowest state highpoint in the United States, 103 feet lower than the second-lowest U.S. state highpoint, Ebright Azimuth in Delaware, and far lower than many skyscrapers in Miami, Jacksonville, Tampa and Orlando. In comparison, Miami's Panorama Tower skyscraper reaches to 861 feet above mean sea level.
The hill is located in northern Walton County near the locality of Lakewood just off County Road 285, about 2 miles southeast of Florala, Alabama. It is inside Lakewood Park, which marks the high point and features a monument, trails, and an information board.
The hill is named after and in honor of the Britton family and former early 1900s lumber mill baron William Henry Britton. The family gifted the land after Hazel Slaughter Britton's death in 1976.

This is the highest mountain peak in North America at 20,310 feet ASL. Americans had called it Mt. McKinley since the late 1800s. The Koyukon people who inhabit the areas surrounding the mountain have called it "Dinale" or "Dinali" for centuries. The US permanently renamed the mountain "Denali" in 2015.
You can find quality photos of the mountain online when it is without clouds. I will show you my photos from several different views as we stopped to photograph it several times. I discovered that the lack of cloud cover is rare. We got to see it cloud-free. Our guide said she had seen it that way only once before. At our third stop to photograph and ogle it's magnificence, there was a man about my age with a few children I assumed were his family. It is possible the youngest among them was a grandchild. He did not take his eyes off the mountain when we said hello. He said he had lived in Alaska all his life and tried to see the mountain cloud free maybe 20 times but had never seen it that way until that day. Seeing the forecast, he brought his family. He was awestruck.

Ebright Azimuth is the highest point in the state of Delaware. It is not even on a hill. The highpoint is in a residential area. The landscaping makes it difficult to determine the true "natural" high point.
After the steep climb that bench is very welcome.
Unmarked waterfall on the Red Deer River, shot on a possible first descent by canoe on June 26, 2020 of the uppermost continuously paddleable reach of this river, starting just below this waterfall. The descent was done self-supported in an Alpaka Forager self-bailing tandem canoe raft, requiring 20 miles of backpacking to reach the put in.

Black Mesa is the highest point in Oklahoma at 4,975 feet above sea-level. Black Mesa is located in Oklahoma's panhandle along the tri-state border with Colorado and New Mexico. It is named from the layer of black lava rock that coated the mesa about 30 million years ago. Igneous rocks are much more durable and erosion-resistant than the sedimentary rocks that they overlay; thus, the borders of the lava flow form a sort of cap that prevents the rock beneath them from being eroded as quickly as the rock immediately next to the flow's boundary. This type of process is what formed Black Mesa. Mesa comes from Spanish and Portuguese meaning "table" or "table mountain".
