This is my contribution to Macro Mondays Group. The theme is: handmade.

This is a bracelet made from rubber elastic bands. It was handmade by

my 9 years old son, just for me. It is an early Christmas present and no need to say; it is priceless in my eyes and in my heart. The bracelet is 0,3 mm wide. Happy MM !! HMM !!

And thank you so much for your comments /favs and support! I’m humbled and grateful!!! I wish you all an amazing day and see you on Flickr!!

unfortunately the weather at germanys highest mountain called the zugspitze (2962m) was very very bad - snow, wind, mist. But I thought the church in a complete white picture looks nice.

A majestic view of the Scafell Range of peaks taken from the opposite side of the Esk Valley.

It was a quick dash after a round of golf at Lancaster. The conditions looked great, so I went for it after lunch. I was hoping for a bit more snow on the peaks, but that seemed to have disappeared from the weekend. I think this has to be one of the best views in England.

A wonderful evening to be out. I even caught an epic sunset with the Isle of Man clearly visible when I stood at the top of Hardknott Pass later! I may post that at some point.

As I promised, another IR capture.

For this one, I chose a stronger processing, to help adding more drama to the scene.

The shot

While I was driving to take some sunset landscapes, those trees really impressed me.

The Processing

Camera Raw

- White balance tuning

Photoshop (one minute processing):

- Switched to LAB mode and applied two curves to improve contrast and tones

- Used color balance tool to improve colors

- Added a slight vignette

- Applied a color photo filter to warm up the tree and the road.

- Resized

- Sharpening (Smart Sharpen + more accurate)

- Framing and signature.

Take a look at it, LARGE on Black :

@ You all

Comments, faves and critiques are always welcomed!

I'm glad you appreciated my first attempt in IR. Hope you're gonna like this one, too.

Spend a beautiful sunday!!!

Landscapes of Tibet

Tibet is the highest country on earth with an average elevation of over 4000m. The lowest regions of Tibet are still over 2000m above sea level with Jomo Langma (Everest,Sagarmatha) ཇོ་མོ་གླང་མ being the highest point at 8848m. Tibet is covered in grasslands, mountains and valleys.

Many of Asia’s largest rivers have their headwaters in Tibet such as the Ma chu རྨ་ཆུ་ ( Yellow River), Dri chu འབྲི་ཆུ་ (Yangtze), Nag chu ནག་ཆུ་ - རྒྱ་མོ་རྔུལ་ཆུ (Salween), Yarlung Tsangpo ཡར་ཀླུངས་གཙང་པོ་ (Brahmaputra) and Dza chu རྫ་ཆུ་ (Mekong). Western Tibet (Ngari) is a high, arid region with few people, while southeast Tibet (Kham) is forested and suitable for farming. Northern Tibet (Amdo) is covered in vast grasslands filled with yaks and sheep and central Tibet (U-Tsang) is the most densely populated area of Tibet lying along the fertile Yarlung Valley.

In South-Iceland on the edge of the highland, you will find the third highest waterfall in Iceland, not counting the waterfalls found in Mosárjökull glacier recently. This waterfall is called Háifoss waterfall or the Tall Falls.

Háifoss, which is 122 meters high is situated in Fossá river, which is a spring water tributary of the glacial river Þjórsá, Iceland's longest river.

In place, this landscape is totally breathtaking. I've never seen a location like this before. You can´t leave Iceland without visiting this place.

This panorama is composed by 2 photos, and each one of them composed by 10 bracketed exposure drone shots to cover the full dynamic range.

I'm sometimes torn between colour and black and white renderings of certain scenes. Especially when the colour is glorious, as it was as I watched the moon rise higher and higher over Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse whilst the sun slowly set. It feels like a kind of photographic sin to go with black and white. And yet, it can often bring to an image such drama that it seems equally sinful to not render it in black and white.

Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park consists of five blocks The park covers 979 square kilometres On 1 March 1938, Yala became a national park when the Flora and Fauna Protection Ordinance was passed into law.
