I should've checked my settings before firing off this shot of tonight's sky, at F22 and ISO 6400 it's grainy, but I'm like a man possessed when I see something like this, rushing through the house to grab my camera and shooting before the scene changes!

I continue to be amazed at how many abandoned schools there are in this area, and that most of them appear to have really new roofs
The Andrew Jackson Intermediate School ( which had several other names over t's lifetime ) was built in 1928 in Detroit and closed for good in 2012, with the damage to the building occurring primarily in the 2 years that followed the closing.
You can really see the sexual dimorphism in these two,The female is on the right,and as Bald eagles go,she is a big unit anyway, The effect is amplified a little bit here because she is on a branch higher then him...
On our walk through Hisley Woods last Sunday we passed an old farm yard with some lovely stone buildings. A few minutes later we encountered an awful smell on the way and almost stepped into the decaying carcass of a large badger...

Large numbers of hybrids are available for the garden, since the European A. vulgaris was hybridized with other European and North American varieties. The Alpine settlement of "higher" Stofful, 2,050m above the sea. Some of these old buildings are still in use, during the summer, when the livestock is brought to the highest pastures.
The distant summit, at the horizon, is Punta Straling, 3,115m.
Years ago, in January, you could find these buildings buried under deep snow.
