Strobist info: Profoto pack with 2 heads in medium Chimeras about 5' to left and right of, and behind subject at about f/8 (not sure how much of the pack's power I was using, since it was a rental and I don't honestly know what it was rated for, but when I switched the display from f-stops to w/s, it said it was about 60w/s, which I'm guessing is very near the bottom of the range); Photogenic PL1500R in 5' octobox about 15 feet back from subject and to camera right, and about 7 feet high, at 1/2 power for nearly-on-axis fill (and to make that nice, big catchlight).

Crews from Grimsby Fire, Niagara EMS, and Niagara Regional Police responded to Beamer Falls Conservation Area on the Bruce Trail for a report of a patient who had fallen a significant height over the edge of the escarpment. The patient was located by emergency workers, who repelled over the side of the escarpment, where they were unfortunately pronounced deceased. Police continue to investigate.
Displayed at the Beyster Building, The College of Engineering Design Expo is held twice a year to provide a public forum for engineering students to demonstrate applications of their studies to real-life needs. Students gain valuable experience by presenting their work.

I was pretty busy all day, so I didn't have an opportunity to take a good "high angle" shot. So, I snapped this quick pic of my friend's dog just to meet the requirement for the day... Hey, nobody said that the pictures had to be good for this challenge. :P
I wasn't planning on using this photo. This was an "I'm bored, and the lighting is nice so let's take pictures inside and then go take the challenge photo outside later" photo. but I liked it a lot. So here it is.
also, you should meet my newest family member - as of yet, she's unnamed. 1971 second generation Minolta SR-T 101, in near perfect condition. mum and dad found her at the thrift store for 20$. Thus begins my venture into the world of film photography.
and I just tagged a photo as "hipster". what is my life.

An image from my recent property photo work. Photographed at a condo in South San Francisco. Deep blue sky was very refreshing. The strong afternoon sun was creating high contrast shadows in the area but thanks to RAW, I could recover both highlights and shadows to bring subtle hint of autumn colors on the hillside without bracketing. I didn’t even have to use an ND filter to balance the exposure.
