Strobist info: Profoto Acute 2400-w/s pack with 2 heads in 4' x 3' softboxes, one to camera right about 90º around and perhaps 2.5 feet from model, the other to camera left about 15º off axis and about 4 feet from model. Both lights at 1/4 power, pack at -1.5 stops. Nikon SB-800 at 1/4 power with diffuser as a hair light VAL'd by my assistant.
Completely fake headlights. The real lighting was from a flash + lots of burn to darken areas the "headlights" wouldn't hit

After taking this photo, the guy with his thumbs up (lower left), who I didn't know, asked if I got him in the shot.
When I took the photo I didn't realize he had his thumb up, but when I quickly reviewed it, my eye was immediately drawn to him.
He took a look at the photo and declared that it's going to go viral.
I won't be angry if he's right :P
Photos from the last Saturday of the Wisconsin State Fair, August 2014.
It was incredibly packed, but everyone was calm and nice and things moved quickly and smoothly.
This was the first time I was at the Fair in a couple years. I broke down my 5D3 to be as light as possible, which included just bringing the inexpensive "plastic fantastic" Canon 50mm f/1.8.
