After taking this photo, the guy with his thumbs up (lower left), who I didn't know, asked if I got him in the shot.

When I took the photo I didn't realize he had his thumb up, but when I quickly reviewed it, my eye was immediately drawn to him.

He took a look at the photo and declared that it's going to go viral.

I won't be angry if he's right :P

Photos from the last Saturday of the Wisconsin State Fair, August 2014.

It was incredibly packed, but everyone was calm and nice and things moved quickly and smoothly.

This was the first time I was at the Fair in a couple years. I broke down my 5D3 to be as light as possible, which included just bringing the inexpensive "plastic fantastic" Canon 50mm f/1.8.

clearly my saturday night is full of fun and excitement...

instead i'm indulging a friend by taking a selfie, in this case showing how ridiculously long my hair is right now.

so long that i can't get my full face and hair in a selfie together (at least, not with my stubby arms...)
