Travel photography from Orvieto, Italy - March 2012. Part of my month long trip touring southern Europe via railways in the spring of 2012.

They look wonderful in the opening sequence of Star Wars (1977). With smoke and blasts in the white corridors of the Tantive IV the shiny white Stormtroopers are an epic sight.

Single Raw HDR image of Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan.

This was taken from the elevator lobby of the hotel where I also captured (Give Me Shibuya!). Processing was a slow marathon since I captured this almost a year ago with lots of reflections to contend with - it's still not free from artifacts but I'm happy with this result.

A lot has certainly happened in the World since - from natural to man-made calamities - and makes one wonder about their role as a global citizen. Helping others monetarily is great, if you can, but simple positive gestures such as volunteering or even a hug (amongst numerous other methods) are just as valuable in the long-term, I believe.

I visited Mt. Datun again this afternoon and met several weather phenomena such as rainbow, after glow, thunder, and cloud fire. That kept me very busy in shooting. Will share those photos later.

今天天氣繼續晴朗,選擇衝大屯山,沒想到不但出大景,還出現彩虹、霞光、火燒雲和閃電等天氣現象,可謂是天氣異相齊發啊~讓人忙得很開心!

When I grew up, the rule was always two cookies per person. One way around this is to eat two VERY quickly while no one is looking, and then eat the other two VERY slowly, preferably when others are watching so you have witnesses. Which doesn't work, of course, when your mother has precounted the cookies.

Drone pano from Statlu area, east of Chehalis Lake, BC. There is a camp spot here maintained by - I believe - the 4WDABC. If you find it, be kind, as it is pristine.

Today was a wonderful sunny day. Cherry trees started to blossom wildly in Mt. Yangming and I visited there around the sunset time. Some clouds comes along the seashore but did not last long.

今天陽明山人山人海,櫻花季提早報到,好多人上山賞花,花了比平時更多時間才抵達助航站。

可惜雲海並不多,後來霧氣也未聚集,琉璃光摃龜,明天再繼續努力~

Our Daily Challenge: High Angle

Within every group there's one loner that doesn't want to fall in line. Taken at the Temple for Performing Arts in downtown Des Moines.

A quintessential Lisbon culinary experience captured on a tray from the vibrant Time Out Market (Mercado da Ribeira). This selection showcases the rich diversity of Portuguese seafood cuisine, confirmed by the branded plates. The generous array includes tender, beautifully roasted octopus (Polvo), likely prepared à Lagareiro-style, served over potatoes and seasoned with herbs and crumbs. Next, a portion of large, succulent shrimp (Gambas) is swimming in a rich, piquant, reddish sauce, accompanied by a flavorful yellow crumble (possibly farofa or cornbread). The meal is balanced by a side bowl of buttery white rice with cashews and a serving of crispy, square appetizers topped with a spicy sauce. This high-angle shot highlights the abundance, freshness, and vibrant colors of the freshly prepared dishes, cementing Time Out Market as a must-visit destination for food lovers in Lisbon.

Shooting sunset at sea of clouds has been one of my dreams for a long time and I finally made it this evening. I was thrilled when I saw this scene and excited to share with you.

Taipei was very cold and rainy. We are not that cold as many other cities in the world but still freezing enough for a sub-tropical city. This is the previous sunset and looking forward to the next one soon.

今天台北濕濕冷冷,希望明天天氣放晴,可以再見夕陽!

ODC2 - Monday

17/10/11

Monday is usually my "kid free" day. Nicholas is in school and Leon and Ella spend the day at their grandparents. Today was different though, it's the last day of school holidays here so they all stayed home, playing in the backyard, we got a big stack of old pavers that the kids LOVE building "inventions" with.lol Today we built a rocket ship from them.

I wish the focus was more on the eyes, but believe it or not, this is a real action shot.lol she was running back and forth getting the pavers. I had about a millisecond to get a shot.

5XP HDR shot of downtown Reno in Reno, Nevada.

This was my first visit to Reno in a really long time. Sure, it does not have all the glitz nor glamour of Las Vegas, but it does have a lot of charm. "The Biggest Little City in the World", indeed! Fun! :)

From Notre Dame, Paris

From the Tower of David, Jerusalem

This "leet"-looking silver Corvette C6 is parked almost daily in the parking lot where I work, but I've somehow never actually taken a proper picture of it until now.

I wanted to to take photographs of it to compose an Autostitch picture, but this time I though I'd try something a little new. Instead of holding the camera at eye level or at chest level, or kneeling down on the pavement for waist level, I decided to hold the camera up in the air as high as I could, as you can tell with the shadow. I couldn't see the view finder, obviously, so I was hoping that I'd get enough of the car to do an Autostitch, and I did.
