The weather has been horrific today and thrown it down all day, then just as I got the fire blazing the clouds parted and the sun came out, managed to grab this quick shot of the grasses peeping through the fence.

Here we go again...anyone who has known me long enough will remember that I completed my first Project 365 back in 2015 and I must admit that since then I've been itching to have another go (but I have put it off due to school commitments the past couple of years). However this year even that is not stopping me. I nearly did one straight off the back of the last one in 2016 and was even closer to doing one last year (2017). My original plan was to start this project after my A Level exams in the summer but my eagerness to get going has meant I've brought it forward to now and here we are.

For anyone who is unfamiliar with this project the rules are as follows; to take one photo a day, everyday for a whole year. Although due to the importance of my education this year I will be amending this slightly by allowing myself to pause the project once only, if needs be, from May-June. I am only allowed to pause the project during these months as they are when the exams and main load of revision will take place and to miss a day any other time is not allowed.

I wish the best of luck to anyone else partaking in a 365 this year and I hope you enjoy.

Today I wore a skirt....a new thing for me for work...usually I am in trousers....and my fave shoes - unfortunately I have worn them to death - fortunately I have a red pair too ! ! So here I am high up on a chair that has been relegated to the back garden bench like !!

This morning I was thinking along the lines of a Rubix cube or something similar, then my mum suggested Jeff (her other half...lol), but when I got home and remembered that I have an old knife sharpener in the back porch and this very old can opener that slides onto a bracket that is on the wall unit in the kitchen. When my Nanna lived here she had it attached to the unit but when I moved it I kept banging my head on it and as it's old and sharp it hurt so I had to take it down, it's been sat in a draw ever since....this will be it's last outing as the kitchen is being ripped out this weekend to make way for my new shiny one !!

I have added a Kim Klassen Texture called Luminous and blended with the Overlay to try and get an old retro feel !!!

Black & White Conversion | Timeless

A tenuous link tonight I think...I don't really do patterns and prefer most things plain, yet if you look close enough you can see patterns in most things like this lovely little flower growing on the bush in the front garden. As usual I have no idea what it is and a macro shot from above gave the little buds some pretty patterned bokeh goodness....I'm off to clean....urggghhhh !!

Today is 138 of 365 and today's challenge is waiting...well I am waiting for many things but one thing I do every day is check my flowers and fruit/veg that is growing (despite the fact that the birds have eaten my sunflower seedlings !) and waiting patiently for them to grow/ripen...so what better subject than my new strawberry plants. This image was 3 scans merged in Photomatrix.

This morning was beautiful, very cold at -2 but clear skies with some residual mist and a lovely bright sun made the morning's drive to work very pleasurable. I wish I had had time to stop and go for a walk to get a better picture but time was pressing especially as it's also day 2 of the Ofsted visit - no inspector called on me yesterday !!!

I've started the scenic location late but do like this so will continue to use this for the treasure hunt to see the changes in season :o)

Oh dear what a mess my house is...my OCD can not cope and I promise you that I am NEVER having any more home improvements done...ever !!! God love my fabulous other half as he is now fitting the new cooker hood but plastering not complete and quite honestly, out of all trades, plasterers are well and truly the dirtiest....I just want to clean and put things into my new fabulous kitchen and I can't - yet.....so I can safely say I have seen my back side tonight and Teddy has joined me, so seeing as the challenge today was 'The Back Side' this image seemed fitting. I have also used and 'Aged' preset as I also feel like I have aged 100 years since last week !!!

These little muchrooms keep sprouting in Billys front garden, we thought they might be magic but I don't think they are !!! I actually hate mushrooms and have to pick them out of any meal they get put in....they are soooo wrong !!

Only just seen Robs and ElvieMogs versions for this challenge, it seems it was a popular subject, although the weather here is cold damp and very overcast, so no pretty bokeh here !!

Day 37 is another wet and dreary day, after trying many apertures, applying some colour tweaking and a crop, I finally settled on this one....I really hope that the sun shines again soon.

I wish I had had the time and energy to get out and photograph the 'Sunset' which would have been perfect for 'S' but alas another long day and late arrival home ! This little purse was given to my by my Aunty when my Nanna died, it was one of her treasures and Aunty Zither (actually Cynthia but she has gained Zither as a nickname over the years !) thought it would be perfect for me...it is very old...we don't know quite how old but well Nanna was born in 1914 so the 40's may be a good guess, it also goes with the same era from my SP Push shot !

I've been wondering how I could make something plain gold pretty all day and after many many attempts this was my final offering for Day 97. It is a locket that I got many many years ago but I especially liked the pretty bokeh that the chain produced.

Today a set out on the hunt for a Cliché BAM and my original idea was train tracks as there used to be disused tracks from an old Northwest route locally, but alas it appears that all the tracks have been removed in place of the Millennium Cycle Track !!! Darn regeneration !! So with the sun shining and donning yet another sun dress I head for the beach for a Jump shot. Had loads of fun and many many takes timing the jump itself and yes quite a few dog walkers and people in cars admiring the view about undoubtedly wondering what I was up to running about and jumping !! So despite the windswept hair I've settled on this one...it seems the quest for selfies has stepped up a notch...literally !!

I felt like an abstract for today's shot as I haven't done one for a while and had this in my mind since this morning...I even took the knife to work with me but didn't get any time to photograph it until I got home. It is actually a very posh Tomato Knife and is red with a serrated edge !!! I do sometimes feel like I am living on a knife edge especially with the constant deadlines of working in a school...aw well the summer hols are nearly here !! This is also SOOC !

I found these little keys in the little junk draw in my bureau...good job I had a rummage in there as I also found the radiator bleeding key and the double glazing window key both of which I thought I had lost !! But these little keys look like they belong to a little treasure chest...heavens knows what they open I will have to investigate...so this little macro shot hits 2 themes for today:
