Well I actually got the lights out and setup the home studio today as a young lady asked me to do her portrait, think I was more nervous than her!, after she went I thought I would have a quick play around and do a selfie or three, I must say that it's most difficult to adjust the camera, lights, and then get back into the same position! however, I managed to get the light pretty much how I wanted it and then snapped away, It looks like I had a bit of a Jack Nicholson (The Shining) moment here or maybe I saw a nice big bowl of ice cream waiting for me, I dunno! what I do know is I hate having my pic taken but it's a bit of fun and a necessary evil as I need the portrait practise so I can get more proficient with the lighting setup! :)
.
This is pretty much straight out of camera other than a crop, vignette, and a slight increase in brightness as it was displaying very dark on some monitors.
.
Two lights were used, one with a white umbrella diffuser and the other had a snoot on to direct the light right onto the face, camera/settings were, 60D, f/4.5, 1/180 sec, ISO-100, @ 50 mm on the 15-85 is usm.

Picked the Bravo up this afternoon, full years MOT and tax, refurbed alloys all round (great job too!) and a scuff on the back bumper fixed. I'm over the moon! Dad's BMW in the background.

Been some time since I uploaded a macro
Time to amend that :-)
I've never seen pollen in form of such large round spheres before.
Or could it be something else than pollen?

Better large

These trucks have taken over the private parking lot of a dentist. The city bought the property, and now are moving cables from overhead to underground, in preparation for a roadway modification.
We're Here! looking at trucks on Thursday.
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
And I say it's all right
Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Little darling, the smile's returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
And I say it's all right
SUMMER. Yes, I've been waiting for it to arrive and it's finally here, but it forgot to bring the SUN with it!

And as always, don't know which one to choose, little help?

Here is a shot from the Regatta that is held in Old Leigh, in the UK on a thankfully, sunny day. Old Leigh is a fishing village that runs along the waterfront where the River Thames meets the North Sea. Every year they host the Old Leigh Regatta where the carnival comes to town, there are soccer matches on the mud when the tide goes out, lots of fun things for kids to do and of course a lot of sailing events.
The town of Leigh sits on the hilltop above and it's where I grew up. The folks on the beach are watching a soccer match in the mud.
Here's a negative I had for a long time. It was Medium Format. One day I photographed it against the window and converted it into the positive you see here.
Taken sometime in the early Nineteen Sixties. I judge this to be around March/April 1962 and shows myself at the table (on the left) and my sister, Corinne (seated). The young woman standing on the left is Joyce, just short of marrying my cousin. Do these scenes still exist today?
Original photo taken on a Kodak Brownie Cresta 3 camera (which I still have), using Ilford film.
