Help needed here....which plane is this? The photographer has a Prague rather than a Zlin address - postcard sized photo. I have no idea which plane this is, certainly not the one in which Tomas Bata died in 1932 and also not the one in which he flew to India earlier in 1932. It certainly seems to resemble one photographed in the 1934 May Day flying show at Otrokovice by Selinger. (photo to follow). The bata logo does not feature the Czech T' letter, as was normal outside Czechoslovakia. Undated but I think this plane may be the one which appears on this postcard taken in May 1934 at Otrokovice.

With the help of the second row of column pieces managed to finish the border. Have to double check it in the morning on proper light.

I am soooooo pleased with how this dress came out. I used the Oliver and S Playdate Dress pattern and this was my first crack at it, and It went very well, no problems. I have to thank Nicole for her great tutorial on making this dress that I used the entire time and also for her great idea of adding a tab instead of the ruffles and buttons on the front yoke. So I used Berry kona cotton with Heather Ross Far Far Away I double gauze flowers as the yoke (with a kona white lining) and Bubble Gum kona cotton as the piping and accent color. I added a tab on the front left yoke with an embroidered flower to match the HR print. I love the beauty of this little dress, the practicality of the pockets and the pleats in the sleeves and on the dress that create beautiful dimension in the solid berry. Maybe next I can snap a picture of Lucy wearing it :)
We’re here are looking for shadows today. While this isn’t a crisp shadow this is a plain white wall with multiple shadows from the Christmas tree lights & branches being cast on it.

I visited this village just two months before the start of Civil War.

Nukus is the capital of the autonomous Karakalpakstan Republic of Uzbekistan. The Savitsky Karakalpakstan Art Museum at Nukus is noted for its collection of modern Russian and Uzbek art from 1918-1935. Some 85,000 pieces of art were brought here in Soviet time by renegade artist and ethnographer Igor Savitsky. Many of the early 20th-century Russian paintings, which did not conform to Soviet Realism, were banned by Moscow, but found protection in these isolated backwaters.

The 2010 Holiday Windows at Bergdorf Goodman, entitled "Wish You Were Here", had David Hoey and his visual team taking customers on a journey through fantasy travel, sly visual wit and far-flung places. With an array of wild mash-ups of unexpected arrivals and departures, each window features visual influences as diverse as Roman mythology, 1940s Hollywood musicals, the original Penn Station, and the very first science fiction film.
Bergdorf Goodman began in 1899 when Herman Bergdorf, an immigrant from Alsace, opened a tailor shop just above Union Square. Edwin Goodman, an employee of Bergdorf's, purchased the store then located in the "Ladies' Mile" in 1906. In 1914, Goodman became the first couturier to introduce ready-to-wear. The store moved to its present location at 5th Avenue and 58th Street in 1928, building its Art Deco store on the site of the William K. Vanderbilt mansion. The men's store was moved across the street to the old FAO Schwarz space at 745 Fifth Avenue in 1990.
Here we are back at the dock in Kaohsiung waiting to board our liberty launch for the ride back to our ship after a day of sightseeing in Tainan, Taiwan. That's our bus in the background and our Shore Patrol Jeep in the foreground.
In the not too distant past, our rabbits and I made a few little critters to drum up a little dough to pay for their pet cat’s mounting medical bills. Probably because we channeled a whole bunch of positive energy into them, they feel pretty good to look at.
Then I realized they feel pretty good to hold, too. Their asymmetrical shape is a bit anatomical—they seem to fall right into the crook of the hand. I soon noticed that my hands, when idle, went straight for one. Familiar like a well-worn blanket or other childhood treasure, they’re quite cuddly. Best of all, they don’t snore.
As usual, these little sweeties contain the standard materials: recycled wool, cotton, and buttons and hypo-allergenic poly-Dacron fiber fill. Healthy for both people and the environment we live in, they’re lovely gifts for anyone who needs a little comfort every now and then.
Here's an interesting one. During 1967 both Northumberland and also Newcastle City went into the Unit Beat System with identically coloured (mid-blue) Hillman Imps. Wallsend had the first three, NNL 431-43F. This shot, taken at City East station, shows one from each force. Now, the County ones were like the City one (visible behind it) in that they had top boxes, however 432F is seen without its, and I believe it had been damaged when they were attending fight.

For We're Here - Something on something
Have had some neck issues for the past few months after a couple nights of sleeping in the wrong position. Without going into detail, the neurosurgeon said they don't want to wait more than 4 months and risk permanent nerve damage which is affecting my left arm and hand. I am to have a follow up appointment early July. I was hoping to be back to normal, without any need for surgery. Right now I can only sleep flat on my back, with special pillows, taking ibuprofen, icing and doing traction every day. And even then, I still experience pain on a daily basis. It's not unbearable anymore but I think common sense tells me to let go of my ticket. :(
So, what to do, what to do....
I also have photography on my mind a LOT, especially since July 19th is coming super soon and I need lots of practice before then!!!!!
