Our little project of love is still rolling. Looking for about 6 or 7 more groups/individuals to dance around the city. Get in touch with me here and please, please spread the word -- anyone welcome, as long as you're willing to dance in public!
Due to the National importance of our Prince Llywelyn Monument we, the Community of Cilmeri call, on the National Assembly for Wales to urge the Welsh Government to:
• Install locational signage boards, incorporating a brown signage battlefield icon, to denote the historical significance of our village, on the A483 at both main road entrances to the village;
• Work in partnership with Powys County Council, Cilmeri Community Council and CADW to help maintain the famous monument, so that visitors can enjoy our national historical amenity in a safe and befitting environment;
• Help identify resources to implement, in a phased manner, the Lloyd Brown Interpretation Plan (January 2013), commissioned by CADW.
Additional Information:
The interpretation plan highlights the fact that Llywelyn was the last native Welsh Prince to fall in battle, marking the effective end of the powerful dynasty of Gwynedd, which played an important role in forging a sense of Welsh nationhood and identity.
Oherwydd pwysigrwydd cenedlaethol Cofeb y Tywysog Llywelyn, mae cymuned Cilmeri yn galw ar Gynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru i annog Llywodraeth Cymru i:
• Godi arwyddion brown at y gofeb â delwedd o faes brwydr arnynt ar yr A483 ar y ddwy brif ffordd sy’n mynd i mewn i’r pentref er mwyn dynodi arwyddocâd hanesyddol ein pentref;
• Gweithio mewn partneriaeth gyda Chyngor Sir Powys, Cyngor Cymuned Cilmeri a Cadw i helpu â gwaith cynnal a chadw’r gofeb enwog, er mwyn i ymwelwyr allu mwynhau ein safle sydd o arwyddocâd cenedlaethol a hanesyddol mewn amgylchedd diogel a phriodol;
• Helpu i ddod o hyd i adnoddau i weithredu, gam wrth gam, Cynllun Dehongli Lloyd Brown (Ionawr 2013) a gomisiynwyd gan Cadw.
Gwybodaeth ychwanegol:
Mae’r cynllun dehongli yn rhoi sylw i’r ffaith mai Llywelyn oedd Tywysog brodorol olaf Cymru i farw ar faes y gad, gan nodi diwedd llinach bwerus Gwynedd, a oedd yn bwysig wrth feithrin ymdeimlad o genedligrwydd a hunaniaeth Gymreig.
On Wednesday 21 January the Health and Social Care Committee met with service users and service providers from across Wales as part of their inquiry into alcohol and substance misuse.
As part of the inquiry, the Committee wanted to know about the effect that alcohol and substance misuse has on the people of Wales, how well these issues re currently being tackles, and whether the right local services are in place across Wales to help people and make sure that they know about the possible harms.
Participants gave their views through a reference group which will help the Committee make sure that they can take into account how alcohol and substance misuse affects real people in Wales on a daily basis.
The Committee will now consider the outcomes of the discussion, alongside other evidence given in formal oral evidence sessions and written submissions. They will use this information to write a report about the issue which will include recommendations to the Welsh Government.

Fel rhan o’r ymchwiliad, mae’r Pwyllgor am wybod sut mae camddefnyddio alcohol a sylweddau yn effeithio ar bobl yng Nghymru, pa mor dda y caiff y problemau hyn eu trin, ac a yw’r gwasanaethau lleol cywir ar waith ledled Cymru i helpu pobl ac i wneud yn siŵr eu bod yn gwybod am y niwed posibl.
Cynhaliwyd grŵp cyfeirio gyda cyfranogwyr a fydd yn helpu’r Pwyllgor i wneud yn siŵr y gellir cymryd i ystyriaeth sut mae camddefnyddio alcohol a sylweddau yn effeithio ar bobl go iawn yng Nghymru o ddydd i ddydd.

Every year we eat tons of Turkeys and other delicious foods, we give eachother expensive presents and indulge in other luxuries that we can afford to purchase. And every year we tend to forget that there are many children in the world who are not so lucky. One group of these not so fortunate kids are children used as soldiers and those kids who are traumatised by war.
Warchild is an organisation that tries to give them a better future.
Warchild is a world wide network of international independent organisations helping children who are affected by the traumas caused by war
Their goals are:
-To alleviate the suffering of children by bringing material aid into war zones.
-To support those children who have been evacuated into refugee camps.
-To initiate rehabilitation programmes once children return safely to their homes.
-To be instrumental in healing the psychological damage caused to children by their experiences of war.
At the moment there are 300,000 children fighting a in a war started by ‘adults’ somewhere in the world. And that is way, way too much. You, my Flickr Friends can help Warchild take care of these victims of greed and hatred spread by grown ups, resulting in war. By making a small donation you can give a child a better life and help give it a better future. Give yourself a gift by helping a child.
For people outside The Netherlands go here to donate a gift for a child.
Dutch people can go here to make a donation. to Warchild.
It only takes a minute. But it makes a world of difference to a child somewhere in the world.

Hun doel is:
Hi here is a picture of a balloon display that was created for us as part of a WBCM in the Red Dragon Centre, Cardiff. It's supposed to be the mad hatter's tea party, we had costume characters from Alice in Wonderland entertaining primary school kids and asked people all weekend to pay to guess how many balloons made up the display, fab isn't it?

But we come from magistracy.
However we are learning where we are going.

They want our submission.
We won't give it.

Christmas holiday is a time for giving and many fundraisers are happening around the grid for many worthy causes.
Pete Westminster of Popscene on Londons Calling sim is holding a non-stop fundraiser for War Child. Music will be back to back throughout the day.
The avatars in Second Life enjoy themselves with their artful ways, but fundraising for causes brings a bit of reality to our avi lives. Woot!
Cafwyd cyflwyniadau gan yr holl wasanaethau sef Ambiwlans, y Gwasanaeth Tân, Achub Mynydd a’r Heddlu. a chyfle gwych i fynd mewn i’r cerbydau ,gweld sut maent yn gweithio, gweld yr offer a ddefnyddir yn ogystal a gwisgo’r dillad a’r helmedau. Daeth hyd yn oed Hofrennydd Gwylwyr y Glannau i hedfan yn isel o amgylch yr ysgol.
Dangosodd y Tîm Troseddau Gwledig amrywiaeth o wrthrychau anghyfreithlon a chafwyd cyfle i weld a chyffwrdd croen gwahanol anifeiliad ac ysgythrau eliffantod ysgithrau a thraed a cotiau ffwr anifeiliaid. Dangosodd Timau Achub Mynydd Llanberis Dyffryn Ogwen sut maent yn helpu i achub bywydau ac yn gofalu am bobl sydd wedi eu hanafu ar y mynyddoedd. Cyflwyniad am sut i gadw’n ddiogel a pheryglon tân a thanau bwriadol a gafwyd gan y Gwasanaeth Tân lleol a bu’r gwasnaeth ambilwans yn egluro sut i wneud cymorth cyntaf syml. Daeth hyd yn oed Hex y ci heddlu i’r diwrnod hefyd ac cafwyd arddangosiad sut mae’r ci yn dal troseddwyr treisgar, diolch byth bod yr heddlu wedi dod a gwirfoddolwr eu hunain i weithio gyda’r ci ( er mawr ryddhad I Mr Evans!).
Dysgodd y plant fod cymaint o bobl a mudiadau yn gyfrifol am eu cadw’n ddiogel a bod cymaint o agweddau gwahanol i’w gwaith. Diolch yn fawr i PC Dewi Owen am drefnu diwrnod gwerth chweil i blant Bro Llifon.

Presentations were received from all the services namely, Ambulance, Fire Service, Mountain Rescue and the Police and an excellent opportunity to enter the vehicles, see how they work, see the equipment that is used as well as wearing the clothes and helmets. Even the Coastguard Helicopter flew low around the school.
The Rural Crimes Team showed various illegal objects and the pupils saw and touched the skin of different animals and the tusks of elephants, tusks and feet and fur coats of animals. Llanberis Dyffryn Ogwen Mountain Rescue Teams showed how they assist to save lives and look after people who have been injured on the mountains. The Local Fire Service gave a presentation on how to stay safe and fire dangers and arson, and the ambulance service explained how to give simple first aid. Even Hex, the police dog, attended and a display was given on how the dog catches violent offenders, thank heavens that the police had brought their own volunteer to work with the dog ( to the great relief of Mr Evans!).
The pupils learnt that many people and organizations are responsible for keeping them safe and that there are so many different aspects to their work. Thanks to PC Dewi Owen for organizing an excellent day for Bro Llifon pupils.

The hay harvest was a time when neighbouring farmers combined together to bring in the crop. Often very large numbers of people came together and it was an important social occasion, as this photograph shows.
Roedd y cynhaeaf gwair yn adeg o gydweithio rhwng cymdogion. Dengys y llun hwn y nifer mawr o bobl a fyddai'n helpu gyda'r gwaith. Byddai'r cynhaeaf yn achlysur cymdeithasol pwysig.
This remarkable collection was nearly lost forever had it not been for the set of circumstances that saw these photographs saved from decay and neglect and transformed to an important museum collection preserved for future generations. But we come from magistracy.
However we are learning where we are going.
We bore the mark.
We survive the fever.

They want our submission.
We won't give it.
