Fun for girls, £800. This funding will help meet running costs and the purchase of new equipment for the 1st Llwynhendy Brownie group. Grace Jones. EYST Homework Club Volunteer Tutors share their skills and expertise with young EYST Clients. These volunteers give an hour of their time every week to tutor a young person for a period of 10 weeks. This helps them improve their understanding and confidence in that subject, and improve their results in end of year exams. Volunteers also gain in confidence and experience, inspiring them to go on to bigger and better things…
A team of young entrepreneurs from The NPTC Group of Colleges has been praised by Powys County Council's Leader after they presented their business idea to the its Cabinet and senior management this week.
The team of four recently took the Gold Award in the Positive Pathways Powys Business Idea competition, for which the council was amongst the judging panel. And after coming up with their idea for the competition - helping people to install smart technology into their homes and businesses - the students have decided to make their idea a real business.
Cllr. Rosemarie Harris praised the Smart Integrate team: "After they won the competition we invited the students along to one of our regular Cabinet meetings and they gave us a wonderful demonstration of how their service works."

Enillodd y tîm o bedwar y Dyfarniad Aur yng nghystadleuaeth Syniad Busnes Llwybrau Positif Powys yn ddiweddar a roedd y cyngor ymhlith y beirniaid. Ac ar ôl darganfod eu syniad ar gyfer y gystadleuaeth, sef helpu pobl i arsefydlu technoleg graff yn eu cartrefi a'u busnesau, penderfynodd y myfyrwyr drosi eu syniad yn fusnes go iawn.

It will help CDAS reach out to more of those males who have experienced domestic abuse; along with supporting women, they have been supporting men for several years. On 24 October, people in 181 countries are coming together for the most widespread day of environmental action in the planet's history. At over 5200 events around the world, people are gathering to call for strong action and bold leadership on the climate crisis.
No spot in the Maldives is more than six feet above sea level. The Maldives, a strand of coral atolls south of India, is just about the most tenuous country on Earth. No patch of land in the island chain, where the population has risen from 200,000 to 400,000 in the last 25 years, is more than six feet or so above sea level. Even modest projections for a rise in sea level from global warming would increase flooding from storm surges. A higher rise could render hundreds of islands uninhabitable.
That’s why the country has paid particularly close attention, since the early days of discussion of the issue, to scientists who warn of a growing human influence on climate and sea levels. On Sunday, the new president of the island nation, Mohamed Nasheed, prodded the world to get serious about cutting emissions of heat-trapping greenhouse gases by pledging, in a short piece in England’s Observer newspaper, to make the Maldives the first carbon-neutral country within a decade:

David AndLindsay Blumfield's His Dark Materials, class of 2013 introduced me to my girl Sophie. From there we became study buddies and realised our love for all things Shakespeare. One day, we watched Tarannau Aberystwyth play, and walked all way into town talking about everything and anything. We walk along the Pier and get some drinks to watch the sunset and at that moment, I asked if this was a date. Since that date, we have been inseparable ever since. Now we have pitched up tent in Liverpool and planning big things for the future. I'd like to thank all things Aber for helping me find my soul mate. Academic high achievers from Powys, Bridgend and Neath Port Talbot descended on Crickhowell High School to take part in a Seren Event.
The Welsh Government’s Seren project is designed to help more Welsh 6th formers and students get into the UK’s top universities. Delegates heard from representatives of a number of universities and received advice from former Crickhowell pupils who’d finished university.

A bit of a story behind this series. Half way through the project the B7 people decided they wanted firmer control on the card set (in preparation for their relaunch of B7, presumably) and then rejected all but a few artists.
So while not pack-inserted my cards are being used as “incentives” and/or “redemptions”.

A team of young entrepreneurs from The NPTC Group of Colleges has been praised by Powys County Council's Leader after they presented their business idea to the its Cabinet and senior management this week.
The team of four recently took the Gold Award in the Positive Pathways Powys Business Idea competition, for which the council was amongst the judging panel. And after coming up with their idea for the competition - helping people to install smart technology into their homes and businesses - the students have decided to make their idea a real business.
