alright guys, so i took this photo of my very lovely friend kate and we are having quite the disagreement about it. i think it's an awesome photo of her whereas she thinks it is disgusting. honest opinion-- what do YOU think?

A replica icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was installed over the main altar of the original church on May 28, 1871. Not long after, cures were reported, attributed to the intercession of Our Lady. In November 1874, the weekly practice of bestowing a blessing on the sick was formally established. When the new church was built, the picture was relocated to the new Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. As reputed cures continued, crutches, braces, and other devices were left as votives at the shrine.

This is a photograph from the 5th "Mullingar 10" - a 10 mile road race and fun run which was held in Dalystown, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Sunday July 27th 2019 at 11:00. Dalystown is a rural parish situated about 6 miles south of Mullingar. The race was organised by the Mullingar Harriers Athletics Club who promote the event. There was over 350 participants in the event. A t-shirt and medal were awarded to all participants and finishers.
The race follows a simple 'figure of 8' route. The race starts from Dalystown National School and heads north briefly to Dalystown cross-roads where there is a left turn which brings runners along the L1122 road. The only real cross-over of the route is at the 2.5 and 7.5 mile mark. The race completes a loop between 2.5 and the 7.5 mile mark which brings runners into the locality of Ballinagore. The final 2.5 miles of the race brings runners back through Cloneheigue and the final 1.5 miles of the race is along straight road heading north back to Dalystown and the finish outside of Wallace's Pub. The race start/finish/HQ are accessible from the Mullingar-Tullamore road (the N52).
The course was a mixture of long straight level sections of road with some short rolling hills which makes for a challenging but overall fair course. The race took place is rather warm temperatures for distance running with little or no breeze/wind. A temperature of around 19C was recorded at the start of the race. However some beautiful mature hedgerows along the mostly rural roads provided shade and shelter from the sun for runners. Three water stations were provided on the route to help keep participants hydrated.
Timing and event management was again provided by Irish company MyRunResults. All of the results from today's race and associated media are available on their website.
This was the fifth year of the event and going on today's event it will continue to establish itself as an annual fixture on the calendar. Clubs from all over the North Leinster region and beyond were represented today. Refreshments were provided outside Wallace's Pub at the Finish line. Well done to Mullingar Harriers and all the many volunteers who helped make today's race a wonderful success. There is a very significant amount of volunteer organisation and work required to make a distance race like this a success.

We saw several people dressed up weird... this woman was dressed in pleather bloomers, pink rubber gloves, fairy wings, devil ears, and a tutu, and was carrying a toilet brush. She walked up to tables asking "can you help?" and holding her purse open for donations. We also one guy dressed up like a kangaroo dancing in the square, and a man in a French maid outfit walking down the street. Very interesting.
Now for a few doubles from the yurt. (And I swear this is the last time with this sign. I'm obsessed with it. I saw one out in the field yesterday up here on the Boise National Forest and slammed on the brakes so I could shoot it, but then remembered I already had, three times.)

What I altered:
- art placement
- Wall colour
- dining chairs colour
- Added another pouf, but bigger! Navy/teal colour
- valance (something just needed to add weight to the window, but a valance might not be the answer)
- plants in pots picking up on the navy/teal colour
- Removed magazines from side table
- Stained bookcase darker brown to tie in with side table, dining table and rug
