I have noticed that most of my photos dont get any feedback. I am thankful that you guys "like" my photos, but it only seems like a few people are actually giving me feedback. I would appreciate it greatly if you guys would give me more feedback, suggestions, etc. Also, take some time to look at my older photos, they didn't get hardly any likes or feedback, and I spent a lot of effort on those also.
If the boot fits, then wear it. Meaning, if you do give me feedback then thank you, but this photo is mainly for the people who don't.
I tagged a few people who give me feedback often.

If you follow my project, you can't have helped but notice that females have a much higher representation than men. Sometimes I go out with the intention of adding a man but don't find any that grab my attention. I have also had a number of refusals when I have asked men and wonder if there is a self fulfilling prophesy going on – does my lower level of confidence, when approaching males, make them less likely to agree to participate?
Well today I approached Erwin and had a very positive experience. Later I approached another man and had another pleasant outcome.
Erwin agreed straight away when I asked if I might take his photo for my project. It was his third visit to Glastonbury. He has a real connection with the Abbey where he had a special experience on his first visit. Today he was visiting the Tor with a friend from Germany. She had never been to Glastonbury before and Erwin was acting as her guide. I offered, that I would take a photograph of them both together once I had finished with Erwin.
It was close to mid-day and the sun was rather harsh, so I took Erwin to the shade beside St Michael's tower. I took a couple shots and he wasn't completely relaxed so I suggested that he might lean against the tower. When he did this I noticed that his friend liked this pose and I moved out of the way while she took a couple shots with her phone.
As the ground was dry I asked Erwin if he would be OK sitting and he sat down straight away for me. Sitting cross legged he didn't need to worry about how to pose his arms and he seemed much more at ease with the camera. He looked more like he had when we had been chatting.
Erwin told me that when he returns to Holland he will be life coaching. He worked in construction for 15 years but tragedy struck. He lost both of his children within a short space of time. The first had a heart problem and the second died in a cot. He left everything and went to Australia. While there he had a revelation which turned his life around. When he returned home he restarted his life seeking to help others, particularly those suffering as he had.
Erwin asked if he could hug me. Of course I agreed. I got a couple of nice shots of the two friends and we exchanged words of thanks as we said our goodbyes.
Thank you Erwin, for agreeing to be in my project. It was good to meet you today. Best wishes for your remaining time in Glastonbury and as you return home.

To help me remember these things, I made this diagram of a Stargazer Lily with some of its reproductive parts labeled.
The lily is from one of five plants in our garden, and this is the very last bloom to open. Photo'd using a combination of RGB and white lights.

Two remarks:
(1) "stamens" is an acceptable plural form of stamen, although the official plural is stamina. So stamina=lots of male parts!
(2) While looking up this stuff on line, I read that the pollen is messy and difficult to clean off clothing or rugs, etc. So people recommend CUTTING OFF or VACUUMING UP the anthers to avoid spreading the pollen! Ouch! The resulting "castrated" flowers looked ugly to me. Might's well pluck a petal or two while they're at it.
My good friend, who happens to also be on Flickr, Andrea, challenged me to do an insane self portrait (or selfie as she calls them). So here is my attempt.
Somebody hook me up with some kolat 2k4's or red white and blue ultraflexes. Must FIT sizes 11.5-12.5.

Weston Super Mare. For Imaginary England's "The Horror of an English Beach Holiday" competition.
U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) helped Terry and Gail Small with their Animal Mortality Facility, In-Vessel Composter that disposes of daily poultry mortality; a process that produces a pathogen free compost product that can then be applied to the land according to the nutrient management plan, Hector AR, on June 26, 2019. The purpose of this composter is to reduce the impact of pollution on surface and groundwater and reduce odor. Even in the event of a power outage, the process continues in the safety of its large long horizontal plastic container. The ingredients are simple, for every bucket of chicken, in goes a bucket of wood shavings.
Inside, an internal drum with spiral blades rotates very slowly mixing, moving and aerating the mixture. The natural process brings the interior temperature to120-125 degrees Fahrenheit. At the end, the compost is slowly expelled -- ready to use. The producer is then able to use it in fields or sell it.
The Smalls work with NRCS District Conservationist Joe Tapp and Agricultural Engineer Britt Hill on their conservation plan that includes this mortality facility.

NRCS has a proud history of supporting America’s farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners. For more than 80 years, we have helped people make investments in their operations and local communities to keep working lands working, boost rural economies, increase the competitiveness of American agriculture, and improve the quality of our air, water, soil, and habitat.
As the USDA’s primary private lands conservation agency, we generate, manage, and share the data, technology, and standards that enable partners and policymakers to make decisions informed by objective, reliable science.
And through one-on-one, personalized advice, we work voluntarily with producers and communities to find the best solutions to meet their unique conservation and business goals. By doing so, we help ensure the health of our natural resources and the long-term sustainability of American agriculture.
Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) is the Department’s focal point for the nation’s farmers and ranchers and other stewards of private agricultural lands and non-industrial private forest lands. FPAC agencies implement programs designed to mitigate the significant risks of farming through crop insurance services, conservation programs and technical assistance, and commodity, lending, and disaster programs.
The agencies and service supporting FPAC are Farm Service Agency (FSA), NRCS, and Risk Management Agency (RMA).

Apparently Jack Jack's fur is not up to Dior's standard of cleanliness - so she gives him a little help.
It's time for us all to do some good, at least for Alesia. Check out her story and you won't forget her that soon... she's lovely, she's fun, she's smart and she needs us.
What Aiurea does is to offer some shoes, a few photos, a couple of naive lamps a.s.o. for free to a public auction, the proceeds of which will be used to try to make Alesia smile again. If you want to help and to bid for an object you can access this link for the online Bazar. Beautiful people, go place a bid for her, for you…for a big coming home party...
