This picture is like my feeling in the long times of COVID-19 lockdowns. Isolated and and a unsharp piece in a big see of loneliness and sadness.

Question for all you photography buffs. We’re going to Rome for a few days in March and I was thinking about getting a Wide angle lens. 10-24mm. Not sure if its worth it or if my 18-105 will be good enough. What’s your opinions on it? Will be back laters for a catch up. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL TOO ☺️xx

Revisit 2020

My cat, Mr. Purry Furry, is getting to be quite an old gentleman now, but he still "works" with me in the garden. He prefers a supervisory role to "hands on" :) He is a very pleasant companion!

Hi all !!

And this time, here is a photo with my Coxy !! This time, I worked on two characters. Something that I still find complex. Hope you like it!

Thanks for watching and your support ! ♡

Fab Beat - Help Coco (feat. Paul Koenig)

On Sunday afternoon I heard some grumpy chirping in my mum's garden:

" Turn your world upside down, they said ... Performing a handstand improves concentration, they said ... But no one has told me how to get out of this posture again ... Help, please ?? "

And there it was: a tiny critter on a Colza blossom (a very young dark bush-cricket, I think - about 5 to 7 mm small), performing some kind of handstand yoga posture ...

It was finally able to get upright again - it was gone some minutes later : ))

In the first comment you can see a photo of my thumb and Colza in full bloom to get a size comparison ... it was really tiny : ))

Normally a trickle, this little creek seems to have really taken off with the recent rains.

Hikers walk towards a bend in the Paria River that has carved out a massive alcove over the millennia. Note the top of the alcove is not the top of the canyon, which reaches up above in the upper left of the photo. Note also the small green patch 2/3rds of the way up on the left side where a spring emerges from the Navajo Sandstone.

The narrowness of the canyon coupled with periodic floods makes human habitation impractical. There are some pictographs and petroglyphs in a couple of places but there's no indication Puebloan cultures farmed in the canyon or built dwellings. One of the first recorded trips through the canyon was given by John D. Lee in 1870. Lee was banished to the lower reaches of the Paria River (Lonely Dell) by the Mormon Church because of his role in the Mountain Meadows massacre in 1857. Lee drove his cattle through the canyon for 3 days straight without stopping as he felt there was no place safe to camp. Today travel is regulated to help sustain the character and environment of the canyon in the face of potential overuse.

From a smaller stained glass piece at the St. Louis Art Museum.

1. Photoshop: filled in the 5 large metal bars that helped support the piece, which divided it into 5 parts

2. Mirrored the piece end to end, doubling the width.

3. There was poor light behind the original which made the glass fairly dull. Ran the piece thru Lightroom to bring out the colors, added brightness, contrast and enhanced the colors.

4. Applied a colored pencil filter which helped shade each color in Photoshop.

5. Ran it back thru Lightroom to make the new pencil colors pop and made it look more like a detail stained glass,

6. Pano size was 11,000x3240.

So I put peanuts out for them and they ignore the peanuts.

A gray fox stopped by my campsite in Boot Canyon, gave me the once-over, then looked skyward for divine guidance. The apparent response was to just move on along and let the hapless biped fend for himself. Big Bend National Park, Brewster County, Texas.

I tweaked the windlight settings at Furillen. There is now a day cycle. Most of the time you won't notice all that much difference. But if you do notice and have any feedback, please let me know.

There are now more than 350 visitors to the sim each day, a level of interest that has been helped by the great pictures being posted in this group. Thanks to everyone for joining in.

Trino helps with decorations. He is very camera shy, I think the flash bothers him so I try to photograph him in good light but this time the flash was on. Thank you for viewing, faving and commenting on my photos, everyone! It is very much appreciated.

A semi-aquatic mammal native to south and southeast Asia. These otters have sensitive and dexterous front paws which help them locate their prey when they dig around in the mud. Their diet consist primary of crabs, molluscs, frogs and crustaceans. They tend to live in pairs and can form family groups of up to 2 individuals and are the smallest species of otter in the word. Unfortunately they are listed on the IUCN Red List due to habitat loss, pollution and hunting.

The snow is deep in places which is extra hard on these hunters and on me when I try to get in closer. I know, another owl pic, that's mainly all the wildlife I'm finding around here. I don't have time to check daily, but I try to drive around at least once a week. This one was about 10 miles from my place. Still haven't spotted the one on my property. A bald eagle flew over the house so I suspect that is who took the owl out.

Thank you all for visiting and your kind comments, awards and faves - I appreciate them all.

This is the same bird as yesterday folks only a little perplexed, the little Gekko just would not give up and thought this image said it all.

The little guy didn't make it, but a valiant try none the least.

Have a great day everyone, be safe and thanks for the visit as always.
