Special residents we met on our trekking.

Thank you for your comments & fav.!

The Great Horned Owl family is doing well and this little one is especially alert and observant. Wherever I went with the camera, this set of eyes followed. The other little one is sitting to the left and seemed to be resting for the short time we were there. As of Monday afternoon, all is well in the Owl home :)

Happy September to everyone!

While out birding the other day this beautiful little lady came over to say hi.

Eastern Rosella (Platycercus eximius)

While out taking photos of the storm damage I spotted this Eastern Rosella feeding on the Woodville Oval. We don't see them very often in the neighbourhood. Of course I didn't have the birding lens on so this image has been heavily cropped. I tried to get in closer but it kept moving away.

Nice to see you again and hoping you all doing fine, dear friends. Looking forwards to see your photos again.

This photo is also the answer to the previous photo (see first comment box), some people were wondering what they were actually seeing. Some had the right suggestion.

Not that I did ask it what it is you see…...I thought that everyone would see immediately, that it is a detail of a pair of glasses.....

Anyway, I am happy to be back and I wish you all a lovely Sunday

I feel like this takes a little bit of looking and feeling.

Many thanks for your visits, kind comments and faves, very much appreciated.

Greta says hello for Flickrverse!

Taken through the rear doors of a bus.

I never noticed that puffins have so nice, friendly and curious grey eyes. But I had never seen one so close before.

I did not try to approach this little guy, crawling and hiding through the rocks, zwoosh crash splotch, with my too big rubber boots, my too heavy backpack and my too large red rain coat. It chose to come and study me. It went very near, looked at me, taking its time, one side and the other. And when its mind was made up, it left. I shall never know its conclusion.

Hello everyone, I've been out of circulation a while. Thank you to those noticing and asking! :)

I lost my job right around Christmas. This was basically the culmination of a decade-long process that destroyed my profession (medical transcription) in the U.S. In the end I had to look as far away as Australia to find a decent work situation! Luckily I do my work over the Internet so I didn't have to move.

The adaptation has not been easy, but the pay rate is already better than in my last job and they seem to value my experience - imagine that!

So for a while photography/Flickr was a luxury I just couldn't indulge in. I hope to get back into it going forwards and reacquaint myself with all your wonderful new work!

This is an older picture from China Beach I thought you might enjoy in the meantime.

Loving these new jeans and top by Little Fox. You can grab this set at Anthem's January round before it's too late!

Had some fun with the Nismo GT-R and a Ford Raptor yesterday around the city. It was another oddly mild January day making it a perfect day for a photoshoot.

Hello

Super busy with Charlie's morning commute. He has 4 days in school and just one home-school day, so we are much luckier than most at this point, but the morning drive those 4 days (after working the night shift) is a killer. Anyhoo, got a 7 minute walk in this morning on the way so here are some little flowers.

I hope all are having a fun week. I'll be back to catch up tonight.

I admire the beautiful flowers in the gardens, but for some reason I am really happy among the wildflowers. Maybe because I don't have a garden? Maybe because I love backpacking in nature? When the sun approaches the horizon, the lights are most beautiful, soft and kind. These little wildflowers stood at the edge of the forest and the sun kissed them before it set. The nearby trees just looked at them silently and smiled. :o)

Is anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me...
