A very fancy chafer converted into a very fancy hibachi (it was dented, and laid unwanted in my garage for 2 years. Many advantages over the hibachi I was using:

1. More room. There is room for direct and indirect grilling. I just did a 6.5lb chicken on it the other night, and it was the best whole chicken that I ever cooked (and I have cooked hundreds).

2. No grill height adjustment, no problem. I adjust the coals to provide for different heating temps. This is another advantage of the extra room.

3. The dome cover. What hibachi comes with a dome cover? It operates perfectly too. There were already vents to let out steam. The coals burn slower, and allow for plenty of smoke. The dome has a mirror polish, so it is perfect for when I need to adjust my ascot.

4. Built in wood chip chamber. The water pan is a perfect place to deposit soaked wood chips.

5. Rust proof....the thing is 18/8 stainless steel.
