A very fancy chafer converted into a very fancy hibachi (it was dented, and laid unwanted in my garage for 2 years. Many advantages over the hibachi I was using:
1. More room. There is room for direct and indirect grilling. I just did a 6.5lb chicken on it the other night, and it was the best whole chicken that I ever cooked (and I have cooked hundreds).
2. No grill height adjustment, no problem. I adjust the coals to provide for different heating temps. This is another advantage of the extra room.
3. The dome cover. What hibachi comes with a dome cover? It operates perfectly too. There were already vents to let out steam. The coals burn slower, and allow for plenty of smoke. The dome has a mirror polish, so it is perfect for when I need to adjust my ascot.
4. Built in wood chip chamber. The water pan is a perfect place to deposit soaked wood chips.
5. Rust proof....the thing is 18/8 stainless steel.

The Citroën 2CV was an economy car produced by the French car manufacturer Citroën between 1948 and 1990. It was technologically advanced and innovative, but with uncompromisingly utilitarian unconventional looks, and deceptively simple Bauhaus inspired bodywork, that belied the sheer quality of its underlying engineering. It was designed to move the French peasantry on from horses and carts. It is considered one of Citroën's most iconic cars. In 1953 Autocar in a technical review of the car wrote of "the extraordinary ingenuity of this design, which is undoubtedly the most original since the Model T Ford". It was described by CAR magazine journalist and author LJK Setright as "the most intelligent application of minimalism ever to succeed as a car". It was designed for low cost, simplicity of use, versatility, reliability, and off-road driving. For this it had a light, easily serviceable engine, extremely soft long travel suspension (with height adjustment by lengthening/shortening of tie rods ), high ground clearance, and for oversized loads a car-wide canvas sunroof (which until 1955) also covered the boot.

Earth Designs Garden Design and Build were asked to created a landscape and propose garden design in Sevenoaks, Kent. Here are the details on the project
The Purple Haze Screening Garden in Sevenoaks, Kent
BRIEF:
The clients have lived in the house for a number of years and have two young children and two very active Jack Russell dogs. The property was extended a few years ago. Emma is a keen vegetable gardener and has a plot in an allotment very close to their property. The children rarely use the garden, so the clients are happy to make its principal purpose entertaining friends. The clients would like a contemporary garden design that complements the interior of the house. However, the garden should be practical enough to cope with the demands of an energetic family. The only feature of the current garden to be retained is the shed in the bottom right corner.
SOLUTION:
The garden was split into 3 distinct areas. The first section, directly outside the back door, features a fixed bench seating area comprising decked bench seats backed by rendered block planters containing low lavender hedge. A large decked table and a trestle-type bench (which can be stowed away under the fixed bench when not in use) give ample space for outdoor dining. When formal dining is not required the table and trestle bench can be combined with the fixed benches (the table is height adjustable) to form a huge double bed lounger for all the family to relax upon.
The floor in this section was laid with Indian sandstone paving in a stretcher pattern. Acrylic planters containing architectural copper grasses line the left boundary. A Yellow Balau hardwood decking path cuts through the paving and leads to the second section of the garden.
The second section consists of two large planting beds bisected by the decking paths. The beds were planted prairie-style, interspersed with a selection of Perspex and stainless steel mesh screens of varying heights and sizes to create drama and structure to this area. The central triangle of the space is framed with two stainless steel cubes 50cm square. Each bed was edged to create definition and retain a pea shingle mulch. The central segment of area was mulched with Scottish cobbles.
The final section of the garden was designed for comfort and relaxation. It features a large outdoor rattan suite, a giant stainless steel planter containing a tall silver birch tree and two series of 3 colourful acrylic planters, all set against a backdrop of a stainless steel mesh screen straddling the width of the garden. This screen, interwoven with fragrant climbing jasmine, masks the shed and utility area at the bottom of the garden.

New Porsche 911 GT3 R Racer with 4.0-liter Boxer
The GT3 R, which tips the scales at just 1,200 kg (2,646 lb), features a larger 4.0-liter (instead of 3.8-liters) six-cylinder boxer engine than the Cup model delivering 480 horsepower (+30HP) and other technical developments designed to improve the performance of the car further still.
These include an anti-lock braking system, traction control and an electronic throttle with 'blip' function on gearbox down-changes that are said to make it much easier for drivers to get used to the GT3 R race car than the prior Cup S model.
Porsche says that the new car is also more appropriate for the ambitious amateur racing driver rather than purely experienced professionals.
The GT3 also comes with additional flared wheel arches front and rear while to improve aerodynamics, the underbody of the car is completely covered and features a rear diffuser. Furthermore, compared to the prior Cup S model, the range of adjustment on the rear wing has been increased.
The fully adjustable suspension system comprises of height-adjustable McPherson struts with variable SACHS two-way shock absorbers and double coil springs up front and a rigidly mounted sub-frame with a height-adjustable multi-arm axle together with adjustable SACHS two-way shock absorbers and double coil springs at the back.
