Our Stinger rig is our solution to DSLR shoulder mounted shooting with an EVF or small on-board monitor. This rig uses our height adjustable DSLR Baseplate to mount to any DSLR and tripod. The baseplate attaches to your tripod using the standard tripod plate screws; (2) 1/4 20" and (1) 3/8 16". Simple trestles designed to lift my two small layouts up to a sensible viewing height above a normal height table. One main frame, screwed and glued and diagonally braced for rigidity, the legs of which sit either side of the table to prevent movement. Only one hinged rear leg to economise on the 18 mm. x 34 mm. timber. The connecting chains are fitted in an eye on the back leg and hooks on the main frame and can be used for final height adjustment. The blocks on the top rail are used to locate the layouts centrally and prevent them sliding off the trestles. This design has also been used for full height trestles for other layouts I have been involved in for many years, the three legs and chain height adjustment really comes into it's own on uneven floors.
