This picture was shot handheld with three exposures (-2..0..+2EV). I used Photomatix to create the HDR with tonemapping and detail enhanced. I increased the overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Shadow/Highlights and Curve adjustments were also used, to bring out the detail and increase the overall contrast.
The green stuff in front is actually grass grown for grass seeds. Shot this from inside the car, while stuck in the traffic on our way to the Tulip Festival. Since the car is mostly stop and go, I could get a 3-exposure shot for HDR processing.

On the beach today a man offered to sell me a real bow and arrow.
I’ll be honest with you, I was tempted.

About
We explored new territory at river Drava, near Limbuško nabrežje. You have to go through some bushes and thick forest parts, to get here. Usualy, here come people with boats only.
The shot
Standard 3 exposures [-2,0,+2EV] in IS0100/RAW at f/5.6 (1/320s for 0EV) using the EF-S17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens (used 17mm), from hand.
Photomatix
Tonemapped using the detail enhancer on 3 exposures and same settings on 0 EV shot.
Photoshop
° Masked upper part from trees on left side from 0 EV photo, because it was very windy over the 3 exp hdr;
° Added Curves adjustment layer - slight S curve;
° Added Levels adjustment layer (left and right part moved toward center a little);
° Scaled and framed.

North Livermore Farmhouse #1
The weather has been amazing lately. Decided to take a walk before SB50 got started. Took the Nikon dslr and some water/snacks of course.,, Ended up a few miles from home, but found this awesome old farmhouse off North Livermore Street. The property this farmhouse was on also had a big old shade overhang for storing grain and straw. Instead it was storing four clean and ready to go, LFD fire trucks. Here I sat, ate my snack and thought. Probably here to long, got back up and started home. Got no more then a foot off the property, turned around and took this photo; N.Live.Farmhouse #1...
In other news, Sony just showed off some new cameras. Expect even more announcements from Sony and alike closer we get to CP+ in late February. I'm liking what I'm seeing though, and I think in late March(April-May time frame) I'll be jumping ship from Nikon and joining camp Sony. Still looking and trying a few models out, but it's looking like I might NOT be going full frame(A7R & A7S models) just yet.

Shot up to the local cemetery to catch the last bits of snow in port. Early morningish so i had that nice glow from the rising sun.
Those who were around in my early days of photography might remember a similar hdr shot i did back then... in fact only my second ever hdr. you can see it here: www.flickr.com/photos/pommedan/4491786595/in/photostream
i think i still prefer the first one....

First ever attempt at Hdr I know it's over the top and way to much and there's some clipping. But there's something I like about it. I'd love some honest feed back so I can learn from my mistakes.
