We have been back 6+ weeks from our Oregon vacation yet not a day passes by that I don't think about a waterfall hike or a stroll along a coast beach. I would relocate in a heartbeat!

Haystack Rock obscured by a sudden thick mist that appeared during the height of the August 21st 2017 solar eclipse (we had about 98% coverage in Cannon Beach). Although it didn't get very dark, the temperature dropped noticeably, which would have resulted in the mist.
Haystack Rock is a 235-foot (72-meter) sea stack in Cannon Beach, Oregon. It is sometimes claimed locally to be the third-tallest such "intertidal" (meaning it can be reached by land) structure in the world, but there are no scientific references to support this.
