A tree's perspective on Haystack Rock from above Cannon Beach.

Does anybody remember this on "Goonies"?

As well as seeing the sun set through the back of the cave, I was lucky enough to see the full moon (which also happened to be a supermoon) setting from the back of the cave very early in the morning. There was a pink band along the horizon as the sun was just rising.

Carmen and I decided to go back to Cannon Beach, just the two of us, in the early morning on our last day in Oregon. We also decided to try finding the other public access point, which I had read about on a travel blog. The lesser known entrance for Cannon Beach has a pathway and stairs down from a residential neighborhood, coming out almost directly in front of Haystack Rock.

Please don't go girl...it would ruin my whole world...tell me you'll stay...
