Along Oregon's wonderful coastline

Haystack Rock just off the shore at Pacific City, Oregon. By the time we left the fog had completely hidden it from view

On the grey morning, murres and gulls started pouring off Haystack Rock, with the gulls also generally surrounding its airspace... that usually means an eagle. (No one up there likes the Peregrine Falcons either but they come and go much more swiftly.)

Very rocky up there. Just rocks. Oh, and some stones. And rocks.

Haystack Observatory power point presentation.

Haystack Rock, at Cannon Beach, Oregon, is a volcanic monolith measuring approximately 22 stories tall.

Shooting into the sun - I know its not the greatest idea especially with a CP filter.. But I couldnt resist even if the shot aint super perfect..

The sun was setting and the lighting was perfect so I had myself a photographorgie.

Haystack Rock is near Cannon Beach, Oregon. The Pacific Ocean is quite cold to walk in and the tide was coming in this day.

Taken on a perfect June day spent with a great guy on Canon Beach...

All that glistens is not gold. This little treat, a Saddles appetizer, was a tasty late night snack. While not as dangerous in the near-term as Fugu, I think it'd give it a run for its money in the long-term.
