9/18. Part of my art exam project. A series, I'm posting 18 out of the 25 I made. This will actually be set up as an installation piece, which will duplicate a living room, with the artwork I produced framed on the wall along with 'normal' photos, to show the maybe we should be proud of even our darkest secrets, because they make us who we are. I need to point out that these are not all my secrets, in fact, most aren't. They're a mix of taboos, personal, and social secrets.
Oh Lord. Today's joy of love assignment was to photograph the thing that our loved one does that drives us bonkers. This is a challenge ... not because I can't think of anything. But because I'd love to photograph it without him knowing. I just don't think I am that incognito of a snapper yet. So at dinner, I was able to pop the camera up from my lap and snap a few of Todd ... eating. His table manners and my table nammers just don't jive. Never have. And I have lost hope that they ever will.

"Every time that I hate you
I love you
You're more than I can take can't get enough of you
It doesn't matter what you're saying
I can't let you go
And I just want to get enough
Every time that I hate you
I love you
You're the part of the pain that I love too
It doesn't matter what you're saying
I can see right through
You love to hate me too"

I took a vacation. To Washington, D.C. and Nashville, TN. I blogged about it so I'm going to point at that rather than write the usual "I was up to this" description that I usually post.

At Paul's excellent suggestion we went to the FDR Memorial after dark following the Ethiopian meal. It was a great idea as there weren't that many people (it was still a bit chilly) and you could really reflect and enjoy the memorial. It was also a good opportunity to take the tripod along and do some night shots.
The memorial is really unique as it's a series of outdoor rooms that you can walk through rather than a giant larger than life edifice. I think in many ways it was a better experience as you feel a more personal experience that way.
Near the large statue of FDR were sort of artfully arranged stones inscribed with the quote "I hate war."
