Usually, I hate it when I snap a picture and then realize I forgot to adjust the settings for the light. But sometimes, it turns out to have been a blessing in disguise.

Medicine in the form of: Ginger Lemon Tea, pumpkin pants, and telly. Taken at a slouched Belly's-eye-view. If nothing else, the tea felt good while it was resting on my belly.

I hate to say it, but I thought it was a beetle at first! A distinctive bug (apparently!) it is the only burrowing bug in the United States that frequents flowers, found primarily in the eastern U.S. and southeastern Canada.
Frequents fields, woodlands, lawns and gardens. Adults frequently found on common lawn weeds such as Henbit and Purple Dead-nettle, as well as on leaves and flowers of many species of herbaceous plants.
Adult females care for the young and provision nest with seeds of the mint family. Sometimes called the Mother Bug as a result.
