this is a close up I did of the building... which looks quite painterly with all of the blinds closed at different levels, I like it!
This is the one I opened because I figured it was dead starting into hatch day 22. Still kicking at 22 days 3 hours.
Memorial Day weekend, 2009, fishing trip. Dragonflies were hatching all along the riverbank on Kettle Creek in Pennsylvania. They were really cool to watch. Had to crop a lot to get this, the larger size doesn't look as good.
This Shag is a bit behind the others - I guess something disastrous must have happened to her first attempt. Anyway, it looked to me like those eggs are just hatching...

A hatching year female Black-throated Blue Warbler was trapped, banded, photographed, and released at Sand Bluff Bird Observatory near Durand, Illinois this morning.
All banding, marking, and sampling is being conducted under a federally authorized Bird Banding Permit issued by the U.S. Geological Survey’s BBL.
These pictures were taken at Xcaret - it is an eco-archeological park. It was created by a company who wanted to bring all of Mexico into one park.
