Sister vehicle of the sedan version Hugo caught here. As to be expected that one no longer exists today.

A BYD F3R photographed in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China.

The F3R is the hatchback version of the BYD's bestseller : the F3 sedan.

The F3R was produced from 2007 to 2012 but was more less popular than F3 sedan about 110.000 F3Rs were sold vs 1.400.000 F3 sedans (since 2006).

From 2011 to 2013, BYD produced an update version called G3R but sales were low (6.000).

The choice if you wanted a medium-size French hatchback in 1986. The Renault 11, as famously destroyed by Roger Moore in 'A View to a Kill', was only a three year old design but the Citroen GSA was right at the end of its life and rather dated, having originated back in 1970 as the GS.

Car: Peugeot 205 XLD.

Date of first registration: 1st August 1992.

Registration region: Worcester.

Latest recorded mileage: 248,025 (MOT 9th August 2019).

Cars and trucks from mainland China are hard to catch in the Republic of China (Taiwan), pretty interesting, isn't it? Most common are the Geely Panda and Geely Panda Cross, marketed by Yulon Motor as tone M'car and W'car respectively. These weren't particularly good value - for the same money you could buy a Hyundai i10, imported from India. The Emgrand EC7 and EC7-RV were badged M'way and Q'way, but these are really rare.

Chery tried with the Fresh (A1), Apola (A3) and some Karry commercial vans. Chinese truck, bus and commercial van/pick-up company Foton sold some trucks, but it seems all these brands from mainland China have abandoned the Taiwanese market.

The Chery A3 was the first indigenous Chinese car to receive a five star rating in the C-NCAP crashtests. The car was styled by Pininfarina.

Jaguar E-Type V12 Hatchback - 1970

Malaysian city car based on the Daihatsu Move with a 990cc three cylinder engine. Perodua ceased UK imports in 2014. MOT now expired, no surprise giving the previous history and damage to the vehicle.

This is one of two lights that comes on when I open the hatchback of my Jeep Grandcherokee.

Another one?

My car was in for 180.000 km service and I got this machine as a loaner for the day. It's a 10G Civic in White Orchid Pearl which, combined with the black accents, gives it a StormTrooper look.

This is the Executive Premium version. It has a 988cc 3-cyl petrol turbo engine with CVT transmission, panoramic roof, keyless entry, adaptive dampers, premium sound system, soft Corinthian seats and.... those sexy LED LMP1 style headlights.

Very quiet in the city. Little bit louder than my current car on the highway. Probably due to those wide 235 tires. Seating position, steering and suspension -> great! Not a fan of automatic transmissions.

This is the bullshit "follow me home" feature of the headlights. :(

Vilnius

Way back the Palio Weekend was sold in the Netherlands, and I always liked that car.

In Poland I saw lots and lots of the Sedan-version, but a Hatchback is new to me. I never saw it before. I still think it's a shame that it wasn't sold here, I like it looks.

30 years and Clio still looks spot on, even aged better than the bulbous pre-facelift 1998-2001 Mk2. This 'Phase II' (first facelift) Mk1 Clio is in high-spec RT trim.

'96 facelift 106s are still common, more so than related Citroen Saxos. Pre-facelifted 106s are however very rare. This example comes in the upmarket XT trim with the 1.6-litre petrol engine.

The MK1 is a special car for me as I learnt to drive in an L reg 106 Mardis Gras diesel some 20 years ago.

A Alfa Romeo 145 in Delmenhorst.

A very clean example of the Mk3 Fiesta fitted with mon-standard Ford alloys and lowered suspension. 46,084 miles at last MOT.

The redesigned R5 was officially called Supercinq. It was styled by Marcello Gandini for Studio Bertone and introduced in October 1984.

The first generation R5 was designed by Michel Boué and had a different body and platform.

The Super5 was face-lifted in May 1987 and received a new grille, like the one here on the photo.

Chinese name: 起亚K2 (qǐyà K2)

Year of launch: 2011

The Kia K2 was launched in China in 2011 as a successor to the second generation Rio and is based on the Hyundai Accent/Verna platform. Unlike the Accent/Verna/Solaris, the Kia K2 was only marketed in China and in Russia, where they confusingly named it Kia Rio. Both a sedan and less popular hatchback are offered. The Kia K2 is one of Kia's most popular cars on the Chinese market, selling over 140,000 examples each year ever since 2012. Late 2016 Kia launched the second generation K2.

The Renault 11 Hatchback was launched in Febr. 1983. In fact the Renault 11 Phase 1 was a Renault 9 Phase 2 but not as the more traditional ponton type saloon with a boot.

Both 9 and 11 were designed by Robert Opron.

The Renault 9/11 series was also assembled in Valladolid, Spain.

1764 cc. (Motor: between 10/1983-12/1988).

Production Renault 11 Phase 1bis: 7/1985-1987.

A Proton 316 GLSi in Delmenhorst.

A Shuanghuan Noble photographed in Shanghai, Shanghai municipality, China.

The famous Shuanghuan Noble is a 4-seats Smart Fortwo copy.

It is quite rare to see one in China, because it was not a success, too much little.

This black model is a rare Shanghai-licensed Noble still in use.

Shuanghuan vehicles were not popular in Shanghai, too cheap for a well off population (compared to other parts of China).

It wore by "Smart" and "mhd" logos!

The Noble was also imported in few numbers in Italy by Martin Motors.

An American company - Wheego Electric Cars - created an electric version called Wheego Whip sold from 2011 to 2013.

In China, the Noble was produced from 2006 to around 2012-2013.

It is not sure if the company is still existing.

The MGB was originally presented as a convertible sports car. In the mid 1960s a coupé version was added: the fixed-roof MGB GT, designed by Pininfarina.

The MK2 followed in 1967 and was produced till 1971. The 1971-1980 MK3 initially had chrome bumpers which were replaced by these oversized rubber ones in late 1974.

1798 cc.

1030 kg.

Production MGB Series: 1962-1980.

Production MGB GT: Oct. 1965-1980.

Production MG B GT MkIII this version: Autumn 1974-1980.

Original old Dutch reg. number: Jan. 6, 1978 (still valid, May 2021).

Sold at June 13, 2018.
