while one might rightly question the sanity of volunteering to play the harmonica for a skit in the upcoming company christmas party, particularly when one hasn't played the instrument regularly in a long time and christmas carols were never part of the regular repertoire, but hey, i've never been one to back down from the prospect of embarrassing myself in public even if it's in front of new co-workers.

 

who knows, if it goes over well maybe next year odin can get up on stage and play along since he sure loves to wail on the harp.

Part of Hohner’s ‘Historic’ range it was popular in the 1920’s due apparently to its pixie like size, yet full diatonic 10 hole range. Assembled, tested, and tuned by hand, it comes in a pretty cardboard case.

This petite harmonica has stainless steel covers and a plastic comb.

I picked up a harmonica in the key of "C" cause that's what is used on the practice CD n my new book. I got a Lee Oskar rather than a Hohner; it has a different feel, a lot bendier.

a little toy Harmonica that I have that I use to love when I was a kid

I got my niece a harmonica, and she loved the thing, she took it to the park when we went, these are a few photos form the trip. I can't decide which i like more.

 

As I opened them in photo shop, and realized I liked the originals best so these are straight off the camera.

Made from the 1880s to around 1930, bell harmonicas were all the rage for a while.

I was at a Barnes & Noble in Newport News, VA during the summer of 2002 when I saw this harmonica sitting with the movie books.

Only a little bit disgusting.

Custom Wire wrap Harmonica case done like an owl.

Customized further with the musicians name on the back. Made from twisted, netted and hammered wire. The netting was done in such a way to appear like small feathers. His "beak" pops open to lift the lid of the case.
