We arrived in Charlottesville around 1:30 but I wasn't really inspired to shoot much until a couple of hours later. I wanted to shoot people and I'm usually too chicken to do so. Shannon helped me feel a little braver : )
This was a packaging project based on a God. I got an Aztec God, it's the God of wind. So I decided to package an Harmonica. I was heavily inspired by 50's packaging, so I decided to create the visuals as if they were printed in the 50's making references to Bob Dylan and bitmapped the image to give it the screen printed effect.
I then grunged the image up as if it has been on the shelf since the 50's. I printed it on a mixed grey sugar paper give it even more of an authentic feel.
This guy went and gave us a little bit of entertainment while waiting in line. He unfortunately was cut off by the cops, yet he apparently got permission from the mayor who was nearby.
