while copying old photos from a cd to my harddisk I found this one, made in 2002 with my old nikon coolpix 2500...please enlarge!
Whenever I return from a holiday trip, the first thing I do is loading all of my images from my portable harddisk into my desktop computer. That's always an exciting moment for me, this moment really shows me If I got some good pictures.
This time I return from the Southwest USA. In this 3 weeks I visited the states of Nevada, Utah and Arizona and convinced myself of the beauty of the Colorado Plateau. Even if there exist tons of pictures of every corner in this area, I was overwhelmed about the endless photographic possibilities.
Here a picture of a well-known place. Although you will never be alone there, it's incredible beautiful in Monument Valley.

Feeling bored and a little bit frustrated again. So I once again browsed the archives and exhumed some more or less interesting captures from the harddisk coffin.

My youngest son wanted me to take a photo of this lamp at a friend's house. He's using the photo as a background on his PC screen now. :-)
Had it lying about on my harddisk, saw another similiar photo on flickr, and thought doing a proper crop and posting it might be a good idea.
No processing here, only cropped.
Explore history is gone, but it reached 82 before I accepted an invite and posted it to some group which has kept it out of Explore since. Only photo I've had this happening with, I think. But I tend to avoid groups with obligatory commenting on the next X photos and groups designed solely to boost your favs.
Explore history - lo and behold - after more than a year it appeared again, at no. 39! :-)

i just clean up my harddisk (not finish yet) and i found this shot inside the February archieves..here it is .. Echo Beach in the evening with mesmerizing colors in the sky and the sea was getting wild.. wet jeans..barefoot..just perfect..i miss that moment ^_^
