Abused Abandoned Jungle Dogs.

Back Story .........................................

Left early, nothing unusual about that.

Large amount of rain while riding out to

The Dog Palace, nothing unusual about

that either.

Dry as a bone while coming home........ ;-)

Yesterday Mama and her crew were wild !

Like really wound up and wild. Today Mama

was very sedate, calm, cool and real relaxed.

In this photo we're sitting on the top step at the

spirit house. Mama, Queen of The Jungle, has

just finished eating her second breakfast.

Her subjects are waiting their turn

down on the lower steps.

Did the rounds and cared for all the dogs at the monkey temple.

Pumpkin the Rascal needed special attention cuz one of her

ears was dirty from the swamp. The mini first aid kit that

is carried in one of my pockets was put to good use.

Tomorrow, Monday, I'll be real busy doing personal stuff

that might run into Tuesday as well. If that does in fact

happen somehow I'll squeeze in the time to run out

and make sure Mama & crew are taken care of.

Not to worry you know it will get done ..;-)

Thank You.

Hi to all my 'Flickr Follower Friends' and other 'Flickr folk' who visit my stream. I haven't posted anything in a year, like most countries the lockdowns here in England were quite tough, as they had to be so it was hard to keep being creative. I stayed at home most of the year other than food shopping. I grew vegetables, designed patterns and dressmade and became quite accomplished on my piano at long last. For my 51st birthday hubby bought me a white baby grand piano. I did do some photography over the year but not much. I concentrated on my family and supported my boys as they both had to work, I stayed at home as I have no Thyroid due to a tumour a few years back and I have to be very careful. I'm lucky though as I spent the whole year growing vegetables and having my boys at home which has been a privilege and a blessing. Hubby and I worked really hard on our garden and turned a five year project into a 'one year stay at home coronavirus project'. Sadly, through this coronavirus we have lost a few people we know not only to coronavirus itself but, through being in lockdown. Such a sad balancing act. Anyway, yesterday I picked my first crop of the year, radishes, rocket and purple sprouting broccoli. We have a vegetable cart to collect pumpkins, squashes and potatoes and carry plants about, Daisy loves to ride in it and yesterday was caught stealing the radishes off the back of the cart. I thought I'd get my camera out again now the Spring is finally here and my first few images are mainly of naughty Daisy. I will try and post regularly and catch up with all your images as and when I can. But I have quite the vegetable garden which takes some work and I am learning jazz piano, cooking dinners, walking Daisy and looking after my my precious boys, hoping your all well and safe and your losses have not been too heavy. Here's to a brighter future

Lacie, our rescue dog taking a break from doing zoomies on the beach today and running along some of the logs that were tossed in the storm yesterday. Leash free, wet and full of sand = one happy dog 🐾

Ditte and I go to this place every year in April to enjoy the beautiful carpet of anemones as far as the eye can reach

Continuing the walking tour of Val Marie... as I trudged down the middle of 1st Street S. - as opposed to 1st Street N. where the previous shot was made - an orange dog raced up to me in a spray of snow, whirled and ran back to where his 8-year old buddy was shovelling the white stuff, then made a second run toward me. That's when I raised my camera and fired a burst. He didn't like that much and began barking. His tail didn't stop wagging, though. His name is Rocky. He's a good boy.

Taken from my chair in our site at Buttonwood campground. The dog was loving it. Didn't seem to mind the pink life jacket.

Mr Rocky is so happy to see us. In fact

all the dogs and the nuns were happy.

And yes Molly and Blondie were waiting

for us under the concrete walking bridge.

Everyone was given hot-dogs as they were

injected with their monthly medications. ;-)-

Both no# 1 and I are really burned out and

will need some quality sleep to catch our

second wind. Soon as the dogs are fed

we will head to bed and catch ya all

on the rebound tomorrow morning.

Thank you all for your support ;-)

That's one happy dog.

He definitely caught a scent, rolling around in it, having a joyful moment.

Are you ready for the summer ;o) ???

This photo is not made in summer but I think it have summer atmosphere.

On the photo you can see Zadar Sea Organ. The musical Sea Organ (morske orgulje) is located on the shores of Zadar, Croatia, and is the world’s first musical pipe organs that is played by the sea. Simple and elegant steps, carved in white stone, were built on the quayside. Underneath, there are 35 musically tuned tubes with whistle openings on the sidewalk. The movement of the sea pushes air through, and – depending on the size and velocity of the wave – musical chords are played. The waves create random harmonic sounds.

Enjoy in nice song.

Rosie loves to run.

Rylee is obviously, very happy. I didn't even put her in this down. She decided to take a rest as I oohed and awed over the wildflowers. :-)

I can't believe my baby is almost 2 years old!! Where does the time go?? He hates the camera, but I wouldn't take no for an answer today. ;)

This is Mamas Mom, she was a really good dog.

Her mothering qualities were exceptional and she

passed those same qualities on to the Mama we all

know and read about today. Her background was an

abusive one. Beaten and dumped with her one puppy

in this unforgiving jungle. Luckily I was fortunate enough

to stumble onto Baby Mama here at the Monkey Temple

and the rest, as you all know, is history. This would be Mr

Rockys Grand Ma. She is missed by many ... Rest In Peace.

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.

Back Story .........................................

Today worked out pretty good, here's a rundown

of what took place and why it took place................

This last week has been a difficult one with a number

of trips to the local ER room. This is the only hospital

in our town. Government hospital designed for the

very poor. For example, 4-5 hours in the ER room

a couple x-rays, a bag full of prescription pills, same

4-5 hours on a breathing machine with 1-2 injections.

Total cost = about $20 USD, sometimes $25 USD.

Now you might think this is one hell of a deal, right ?

Way wrong, I have more medical knowledge then most

all the medical staff combined.

Why you ask? Because I've been patched up so many

times I have learned a lot, kinda On The Job Training ..;-)

Alright without getting sidetracked lets continue on with

today and the high points along the way.

No# 1's brother arrived at 8:30AM and took us to a

Chinese store to pickup wholesale mosquito coils for

the nuns.Purchased 2 months supply for them, then off

to the dog doctors that had just open at 9AM.

Picked up kibble and weekly meds for Pumpkin plus was

able to hand them the DVD of photos I have been talking

about, this made me happy. Next door no# 1 purchased

some special noodle soup for the nuns, this makes them

happy.

OK, So away we go arriving at The Dog Palace about 55

minutes later. Mama was very excited and demanded her

quota of much needed attention. Then we had to sit and

listen to her long story, and yes she had to repeat said

story one more time before we were aloud to continue on

to the bingo room . As you can tell by the photo Mama

really pigged-out on kibble and meat, like really pigged-out.

It's not like she's been missing any meals. The Leg Man

and 3 monks feed her as does the nuns.

Might have to change her name to "Miss Piggy" ......... ;-)~~~

Taking my time with Mama on point we headed up to the roof.

Loud shrill whistle was sent out across the swamp along with

a shout for Rocky. Waited and watched, did it again, nothing.

One more time and I see Rocky way off to the right in the

jungle hightailing it towards the nuns which was maybe 250

meters from where he was spotted. As he fly's past the

nuns he picks up Pumpkin and Legs and the race is on.

Mama and I sit down and wait for the Hooligans to arrive.

As the photo shows it was nothing less then absolute unbridled

enthusiasm times 10 +. I went into the fetal position protecting

my rib-cage and camera. I was groped, poked, licked, sat on,

crashed into and pawed. Then they did it again just for fun ..;-)

"I Tell Ya - I Get No Respect !", "No Respect At All !" ....................

.

Everyone received their monthly medications, 8 days late but

that's the best I could do under the circumstances. As my

health improves so will the scheduling .

Now here's a little bit of sad news and some really good news.

When we left Mama was very sad, remember it's been over a

week sense she has seen us. No# 1 said Mama had tears in

her eyes. So here's the good news. Tomorrow which is Sunday

I get to use the car all by myself and return to The Dog Palace.

There are a few rules I had to agree to, cell phone must be on

and in my shirt pocket at all times. If I feel funny I must call for

help immediately .

If my cell phone rings it must also be answered

immediately ! Of course all rules were agreed to.

The time is 3PM right now and the rain waited till we made

it home and then, boom, the sky opened up and the monsoon

started, good timing.

For the next few hours my body is going to be in the horizontal

position . I'll get to all the comments when I wake up.

Thank you for your comments and donations.

Abused, Abandoned Jungle Dogs.

Thursday night no# 1 came home

from a long trip "up the country."

---Canned Heat---

Today is Friday so she's resting.

Tomorrow we plan a run to the

temple in order to get food to

the nuns & medication shots

to all the temple dogs. The

scooter/sidecar is having

a difficult time being 15

yrs old now, it's tired.

Weather isn't to bad so we'll hope for the best.

Catch ya all on the rebound sometime tomorrow.

Mr Rocky stuck to me like glue.

Notice Miss Yo-Yo trying to get

in on all the action too. ;-)---

It's Tuesday the 24th. Before

daybreak no# 1 was in the

kitchen preparing food

for the nuns an monk.

Around 8:AM a friend came by

to help her with the food. Soon

after the friend took no# 1 out to

see both nuns and Mr Kind Monk.

Photo No# 1 of 2.

Must of been just after 6:AM when

we arrived at the mud cobra field.

And as you can see it's the same same.

Of course the dogs went bananas flying

here and there and then back over there.

One would think they never get to go play.

For the most part I just sat on the scooter

and waited for them to burn off energy.

I could hear them splashing through

the water in all directions, N,S,E,W.

Surprisingly there was no rain

last night and right now it's

a clear blue sky with a

few puffy clouds ;-)

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.

Rocky and Tinker Bell keeping a close eye on

all the activity over at the muscle nuns porch.

The lens was stuck through the pickets on the

muscle nuns porch to document these two

suspicious looking layabouts.

Right behind me is, New Nun, Muscle Nun, Nurse

Nun, No# 1 Wife, Mama, "Queen of The Jungle",

Legs the Zoomer, Pumpkin the Rascal and Little Stubby.

Reason for Rocky and Tinker Bells concern is because

the dreaded cone was brought out and is being cleaned.

Alarm bells go off when the "cone" is spotted not knowing

who might have to undergo the humiliation of wearing it !!!!

Small slice of life in the dogs world here in the jungle.

"Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them,

and filling and emptiness we didn't ever know we had”

~ Thom Jones ~

Lacie our rescue dog loving life running leash free,

ears back and tail high yesterday.

Taken by my son Brett who was playing with one of my cameras and processed by me. 😊

This cute old rascal is always happy to see me. And likewise! It is too bad people cannot be this consistently happy to see each other. But then, again, how many humans get rough-housed, thrown on their back, get their belly rubbed and scratched along with some side-patting, scruff-of-the-neck pulling, head scratching, and general whacking around? Try that one on your boss or neighbor. Will they be happy? Even if you scratch behind their ears?? Noooo!
