It was a really hot summer day. Temperatures were high and there wasn't any shadow at the way. After walking for a time, we suddenly went into an almost heavenly landscape: a fresh place full of greenery, water and shade. What a fantastic discovery!!!

My 4 year old chocolate Portuguese Water Dog, poses for a New Year's picture on the logs on Jericho Beach after series of record high King tides and a lot of rain raised the water levels in the harbour to record levels. He was positioned so the city of Vancouver appeared in the background.

For 52 weeks for dogs,
You see, we've already gone to the beach this week. Read this better, but we can not lower our guard yet. Those difficult days, have made me reflect, and value your special company even more. I feel lucky. I love you Leia.

I was going on a hike with a buddy of mine this morning. We couldn't ask for a better weather. No wind, - 8 degrees, lot of snow and not a cloud in the sky. It was a very nice walk. We where hiking upp words to see the view of this little town Aurskog. There are so many hiking opportunities here so I have never been there before. This is such a winter wonderland Let me know in the comments what you think.
"Yesterday we went back to Laguna because it was such a warm and pretty day and Mom is feeling good again. I had a great time climbing rocks and sniffing and then wetting on seaweed. I didn't get to run loose because other people and dogs were there too. We were fine - still in our happy place."

This is Bronte who we met on our walk through Worlebury Woods, when we met up with family a couple of weeks ago. She had rolled around so much she was completely covered in leaves
I have 4K plus photos in my Flickr photostream and another maybe 40k more on hard drives. Tonight while going through an old hard drive, one from 2010, I saw this photo and wanted to share it. Isn't that just the happiest dog and I'm sure his surfer owner is happy that he has such a cool dog. Even in silhouette, you can almost see the man and his dog smiling.

Sorry for the other crappy Iphone pic and for, for once, "cheating" and having one pic for both rascals for the week... But we're sooo busy working on the cabin! The doggies, though, only enjoy it as you can see :).
Our dogs love the river, especially on hot days. Yet they hate having to take a bath. Go figure. Kosmo (Koz for short) is half Viszla and half Texas Lacy dog and Haze is full Texas Lacy dog (aka Blue Lacy). The Lacy breed is the state dog breed of Texas. Montell, Uvalde County, Texas in June 2021
