DDC - The Dog Days of.....

In this case...Summer and hiking and flowing water in the mountains. :-)

Very beautiful, happy dog at the seaside. Hope the lovely couple who own Leo like this artwork version.

Loving the snowy conditions at Waterlow Park

I have a dutch door in the front of my house, which works out well on halloween.... And photographing Faith in a new spot. =))

The dogs are usually gated away from the front door, but I made an exception here. She is now almost 18 months old and one of the most loving dogs I've ever raised. Smart as a whip too.

We were at this for a while, because I couldn't get her to close that mouth. Every shot she jumped up that tongue was showing. Around the 150th shot, she closed her mouth. In the end she looked too serious with her mouth closed so I went with the happy look. I might post the other on a later date.

An "Arthur classic" shot of him running across the side of Parliament Hill - because why walk somewhere when you can run?

"I'm ready mom, my wintercoat is on, lets disappear into the wilderness, but please not so deep snow this time...."

I always obey, of course - I think...

Such a happy doggie.

A young female chow who belongs to our neighbors at the lake has recently befriended me, and she is a dolly! Her name is Princess. Please excuse the accompanying out-of-focus/crappy shots. I'm terrible at animal photography, but I wanted to show her smile. Every time I see her, she is so happy and tries to lure people into a friendly game of chase. Her owners recently shaved her in preparation for our upcoming hot and humid weather. It's difficult to grab a still shot of her.. she's insane!

Pebbles turned 12 on the 18th!! 😲

Hudson's always happy to see me. He's fast turning into one of my favorite subjects to photograph.

I love his markings and they way he listens to me... or maybe it's not me at all. Maybe it's the cookies I carry in my pocket every day. Haha!

He LOVES cookies! Truth be told, Hudson is so good, he can be walked without a leash. Such a good boy!

So here's the deal.

Tinker Bell, in her busy little brain is

measuring off the distance between

the end of her tongue and my ear.

The second I'm within range a very

excited wet tongue will strike ...;-)~~

She has it down to an art like a well

tuned Ninja. There is no escape an

no quarter given, you must submit !

All facts are true and substantiated

by many observers and participants

who have actually interacted over

the years with Miss Tinker Bell ......;-)

Hey all! Sorry that I seemed to have fallen off the face of the earth. It has been a hectic couple of months...

For the record, I did not - party myself sick, develop a drug habit, catch a life-threatening illness from overpriced Mexican food, regret my decision to board a plane without a mask, fall down an abandoned mine shaft, lose my job or join the ranks of homeless on the streets of San Francisco.

I did - travel across a good chunk of the country, move to Oakland, see a shit ton of live music, work more than I rightfully should, have a nearly religious experience involving sweet tea and cornbread, find Daniel Boone alive and well in the Kentucky wild, play with some friendly 4-horned sheep, stroll barefoot through a field of 6' tall concrete corn cobs, walk across more cities than I'm able to remember right now, get lost in the woods, drive a Big Wheel like a bat out of hell down a steep and curvy city street, blah blah blah. In the process, I may have neglected you. I'm so sorry.

I can't make any promises, but I'll try to be better.

The photo is Stella, one of my new roommates. She seems to think I'm hilarious.
