Gestern hatten wir hier Frühling pur!! Haselsträucher blühen, Licht und Farben waren ein Traum! Die Zeit spielt völlig verrückt! Wir hatten in diesem Dezember drei Jahreszeiten: Spätherbst - Winter - Frühling.
This December we here had three times: fall - winter - spring! Crazy times!!

For the first day of the year Marco and I decided to take a walk on the Navigli, the day was cold but beautiful ...
when we arrived we were greeted with Navigli's usual winter melancholy... and being the first day of the year most of the shops were closed so its melancholy was even more pronounced ...
We arrived at about four o'clock when the sun was starting to fall ... the Christmas lights and sunset coloured the water, just magical ... Happy New Year to you all!
Sweet Willow is out enjoying the weather in the latest Springtime Lamb hat.

Here is the sit list for the island in case you want to take pics or vids. Some things are animated without a sit like the witches
1. Happy Halloween Pumpkin guy
2. Happy Halloween tentacles (2 sits)
3. Click on Shark sign, click on shark (not for kids)
4. Weird tree (4 sits)
5. Carousel
6. Skeleton bench (animated)
7. Mousetrap (not for kids)
8. Witch gazebo. Click on floor to sit. A menu of animation options will show. To bring back the menu after sitting, click on floor or roof.
9. After Witch gazebo, click on barrel to sit (4 sits)
10. Walk on Fluffy doghouse side to walk around the animated skeleton on the path. If you walk close enough to Fluffy's doghouse, he will come out

Happy Birthday, Stefie. I wanted to celebrate his 3 year with me with a picture and a story, so, here we go:
Billy left the gym and went to pick up Stefan at his music class.
B - Happy Birthday, old man.
S - *grumpy face* Seriously, you say that like four times today.
B - Ok, I will stop... eventually.
S - Billy!
B - I'm sorry, I just don't understand why you don't want celebrate your birthday this year. You're just a few months older than me, but there's no biggie.
S - It's not that, it's just... I'm not in the mood to celebrate anything latelly. All I wanna do today is watch tv shows and eat things that I shoudn't with you and the girls,ok?
B - Fine, I just have to make some calls to cancel your surprise party. I mean park, your surprise park.
S - I love you but if someone jump on me with cake and balloons, you're a dead man.
B - Love you too, grumpy. Love you too.
Today, April 24, is Rosie’s birthday. She’s still very much a kitten at heart -- playful, happy and affectionate, and calm, trusting and confident. Both she and her good buddy Charlie require a new word to describe how beyond-sweet and gentle they are -- to each other and to us -- never once uttering a hiss, or scratching or biting in anger. Rosie is my shadow and my purring lap warmer. With her dark fur, she is so difficult to photograph in indoor light, and whatever I do to get her attention to look at the camera often produces the wild-eyed look that always makes me smile. For her birthday she got a pink flicker-light ball, and some rarely-given treats (which were used in hopes of getting her to tolerate the camera longer.) Though I already know that she wouldn’t like being dressed up, even a little, someday I may try it. Until then, some scribbles on an otherwise dull birthday portrait will have to satisfy me…lol.

Macro Monday project – 03/16/15

Yesterday, we had the first snow of the season. It was rare to have snow in November here in Tokyo. (According to a record, we hadn't had snow in November in 54 years!) I took some snow from the ground to show Sachi, but he wasn't interested so much... :P

Second, this is also Throwback Thursday (361). Dublin Bus Tour RA 219 is seen in the snow on O'Connell Street twelve years ago in November 2010. This Olympian was new to Dublin Bus in 1995, initially used on CitySwift route 39 to Clonsilla. In 2001 it joined the tour fleet, when it also lost most of its roof. Itr was withdrawn at the end of 2014, having spent longer doing tours than regular passenger services, and was sold for scrap in 2015.
In 2017 the Dublin Bus Tour was rebranded as DoDublin.
In the background is the Dublin Bus head office building, which dates from the late-1950s.
